I have been following your posts about this I can't wait to hear all about how it goes tomorrow. Good luck Oasis hope all goes well!

Thanks! I'm wearing a helmet just in case.........lol Really, i think she is ready. She may shock us and do what she is supposed to do just fine. She has shocked me a few times with how well she handles things, especially since she is blind in one eye.
DON'T let her know you are nervous and excited. Talk about the weather, and cloud formations, the stars at night and continue a silly patter of stories, until your voice,[ make it gradually quiet, so she strains to hear,] is all she is thinking about. The horse that I tamed, I used to talk about the "winkie stars at night that will capture your feet if you lift them so high" I told him many stories. Soon he was my puppy. If a bit is involved, make sure the curb is not excessive, and painful. A straight bit, or a light curb with a roller, filled with peanut butter works wonders... I used a single leather jaw rein, but don't recommend it, if you are unused to it.
wishing you luck ! i am sure you will do well. she is such a beauty. you are lucky to have her. i am so jealous and hope to hear how it went. be safe..............
Well, it didn't happen yet. We got her out and tried some exercises today to get ready and she didn't do them right so we have to practice them to get them right. All this fuss is to avoid a bucking or rearing episode which she is good at.........lol. It should happen soon. I will keep you all updated.
Kitt's mom- I use a side pull hackamoore. I hope to not ever use a bit but if i need to i have a full cheek snaffle. She's heavy in the mouth so a bit is a bad idea right now.........lol Good tips though, thanks.
