Pretty horses.
Neat mark on Joker's head. Snoopy has a lovely blanket.
I just love colored horses. Good thing the Indians saved them.

All those horses are very pretty! I just love horses. I have had two and they are the best!

I dont have pics so I'll just describe...

My first horse was Patty, she was quarterhorse thouroughbred mix, she was absolutly gorgous, she was a chestnut with a blaze and white socks. She was drill trained which means she could be riden without a bridle and without a saddle. I use to ride her like that all the time and do jumps and stuff, she was sooo much fun!!

My second horse was an ex racer thouroughbred named Joey. When he was young he was a racer and won every race he was in, once he started getting famous he fell out of the starting gate and fractured his shoulder, he was then put out to pasture for two years and was neglected and malnurished, poor thing was skin a bones when I found him and rescued him. He was a very pretty dark bay with a star and white socks. I would take him out on trails and race him up hills, he was so much fun as well.

I just love horses and one day I want to be a trainer, im so jealous of all you guys that have horses!!

That red roan appaloosa was ridden w/o saddle and bridle, although I looped the leather rein around his withers in case of emergency. Funny looks people give you when your horse is not wearing tack I used to grand prix jump him, he would go over 5ft. jumps.
I also had an off track Quarter mare, that ran so fast, eventually none of the other folks would race with me except for Lisa, with her Thoroughbred. Lisa and I jumped and raced a lot, but I switched horses, depending the excercise.
My Morgan barrel raced, he also wore no saddle, or bridle, but wore the leather jaw rein if we were on an open trail[did not trust him as much as the appaloosa].

I used to always set up jumps out in the arena we had. I had one horse that could just fly over them. Her name was China Blue Eyes...AKA Cricket. I would love to get Kaitlyn up on a horse.

It felt like flying. Lance was smooth under an English saddle. I remember how terrifying the 1/2 circle jump always was. The jumps were in an arena at a local stable. We used to slip in and errr borrow them, for just a bit. We could not set up anything that high in the ring at home, not as safe. We used to ride several cities away to a stretch of track that was safe to race on. And those washes [storm drain rivers] we are nowadays supposed to stay out of, because of the danger, we always waited for a good rain to visit them, cause the current was deep and strong. Horses were smarter than we were

I always wanted a english saddle too. But I always used either my dads roping saddle or my barrel racing one. Most of the time I would just go bareback. The only thing I ever did that hurt so bad was ride about 100 miles one day. My butt hurt so bad. But trail riding was always a adventure.

Yah, if it were a ride involving rivers and hills, western was how we went. You uh, don't want to jump with that western saddle horn. This looks like the equipment I used.

Mine is German made.
I like that Austrailian saddle that I think Oasis has.
You need to find a store that sells used ones, maybe, to get a good price.

Beautiful saddles. They don't seem too expensive. I paid 1200 for my western/roping saddle and to think it got stolen not too long ago. I also have a saddle that I won but it never touched a horses back.

Makes sense western costs more. Bit more to them.
Aussie saddles are a mix...

Yep, Aussies are the best for trail.  I like bareback best but i really like my Aussie.  Here is a pic of it:  Almost exactly like the first one in Kitty's pic.

Light, and keeps you on the horse, my kind of saddle.
I don't like to burden the animal.
The exception would be roping cattle and horses, when they hit the end of the rope, I would like the saddle to augment the horse that I'm riding's balance.

Beautifull pics paige

My 13 yr old sister is absolutely horse crazy.Every night of the week she is at the stables riding and grooming etc and enters heaps of competitions. When she has left school she wants to go into the Royal Horse Artillery which do many shows for the queen and public. But she is worried as Its quite male dominated but i told her if she dont do it she will regret it for the rest of her life.

Shes only 13 though and boys at the moment still repulse her but when she is ready to leave at 16 im sure she will have a different view on boys

i used to ride all the time. when i was living at my brothers house after my husband died, i spent hours riding hobo. a beautiful buckskin. they went every month to the horse show in their town. hobo wasnt real good with crowds so i rode my nieces horse, queen,a very pretty bay quarterhorse mare, in the competition. i did barrels, flags and keyholes. i tied with another guy for best in overall events the first time i entered. i just never liked a saddle. the only time i rode with one was during the show. other than that i rode bareback.

I'm sorry. His markings are so defined if I could paint I would have wanted to paint him.
