Yes, Windy is much less fluffy because she does not have a double coat. Which I think may be a fault for her breed, but she doesn't care.
PS I knew the albino thing with the dobes but I did the quickie explanation, calling them white dobes cause that's what people call them. But yeah, would have made more sense to say that the GSDs are white but not albino.
Well i have done some research on dobies a while back and they said that thw white dobes are still albino even though they don't have red eyes. It might be the same with the GSD.
white dobes carry the albino gene. white gsd's dont. they are just born with the white coloring. they dont have pink eyes and skin deficiencies as the albino gene causes.
I think it was mean for them to get down on you two, for saying they were striking. I think that is one way to describe a breed as majestic as either of those. Some people are just not right in the head. They could find a nicer way to say the dogs should not be bred, than to slash people that admire them.
I agree kittys mom. Some people grip me out just because I like the white doberman and I would like to own one once I have a place of my own. White doberman are some what like pits. SO many people don't want them so there are so many homeless ones out there its sad.
There not in pounds but I see them in the humane society, ASPCA, and they have rescues that a full. The other day I felt so bad cause I was looking at dobermans that were for sell and I found a 3 day old white doberman puppy free to good home. The puppy was homeless and they were having to hand feed the puppy. It had been left on the door step of the rescue. I was so said when i heard this. If I had the money at the time to take care of a white doberman then I would have taken it.
