Just wondering who out their gives there doggys a kiss and cuddles and affection. Michael thinks im crazy (but i have seen him give him a sneaky kiss once lol)but i said that dogs enjoy love and affection as much as human. I always give Harve a kiss and cuddle and say ' I love you ..goodnight'. I Doubt he understands the i love you and the goodnight part though

I do that. During the day trintiy even shares my twin size bed with me. She my teddy bear. LOL. I give her kisses and hugs and everything. Your not weird for showing affection. In my Opinion I think its good for the dog cause it shows them that we love them. If people didn't do this the dog might think we are ignoring it or maybe we don't love it and it might become sad. This is just my opinion.

at the moment im training myself and harvey to leave each other alone. Or else when i go back to work he will have a huge stress. so he has to learn to amuse himself for 4 hours a day..its really hard as all i wanna do is cuddle him lol..

ok, yall are gonna think this is gross, but i love my pooch, and ill give her a smooch on the lips everytime.  im not the kind to get a tissue to wipe her eye boogies, ill do it by hand.  i mean , if she is gonna lick my face, what more is a kiss on the lips.  she has big cheeks, and if im lazy, ill grab one and pull it out to smooch it. she puts her paws up on my shoulder and gives great hugs.  ill rub noses with her and smooch the top of her nose..........its a small price to pay for the love she gives in return Lips Morphings Lips Kiss On The Lips Blowing A Kiss Blowing A Kiss

I totally agree with you poochie. And twinkle i never thought about it but once i go away to job core if i go away to job core she will be by herself for a long time during the day.

maybe its best if you plan ahead and start getting trinity to play on her own for short periods else once you leave she could be in such a panic and could do some damage to your home. A routine would help aswell when the times comes for you to go to job core


I spend about 3/4 hours a day not talking to Harvey or going anywhere near him..and it has helped alot with his seperation anxiety when i leave and go and do some shopping etc, as he is comfortable being on his own and amusing himself

Well when I leave the house and everything trinity is fine. She mainly sleeps and she has all of her toys so she does fine but i don't think she has ever been left alone for as long of a period as she will be if i go to job core.

Tuna if your happy with what you are doing thats fine i dont think you are gross but i wouldnt want to kiss harvey on the lips . Harvey gest eye bogies from hell so ive constantly haveing to get them out as they look awfull..most of the time i dont use a tissue he'll put his nose on my face but i wont let him lick it lol..hey its whatever you are comfortable with

trinity has her own eye boogie rag. everyone laughs but she gets so many that it takes a rag LOL. I would kiss trintiy on the lips for the simple reason that sometimes she goes to the litter box for a snack. Gross I know.

Yep, I hug, snuggle, kiss and whisper sweet things to  my babies… even bought a King size bed because there was not enough room for hubby, me and the 3!

Mine are grubby and put weird things like turds in their mouths, so they have to settle for finger/face massages. I tell them, I don't lick you, so you do the same.
Tanya laughs and goes into super "I gonna lick you" mode, sometimes,[like when I have to reach down for her food pan] 'cause she likes to get a reaction. Bad for her if I'm not in the mood, because she knows I don't like it.
Kitty is my fave, cause she is much too civilized to lick. I like to touch her the best. She puts her face in my hands and just sighs, she gets so happy. After she gets her face rub, she bounces up and down, maybe gets a little circle going. Megan holds real still, too. She comes in the back door, plants her butt, closes her eyes, and holds her nose in the air, until she gets her face rub, she won't listen to anything I say. Buck talks when I rub his face, he grumbles to himself, not sure what he is saying but he looks at me funny if I ask, like it's none of my business. His act is to pretend he don't need it, he don't want it, but go ahead, make yourself happy. Like a little boy when his mom hugs him in public, you know he wants it, though. Tanya will freeze for the face rub, but then does 2 or 3 warp speed dashes back and forth in the house, afterwards. She gets pretty charged up, er, by anything, really

Everymorning I snuggle up to Oscar in bed. And yes I do give him kisses(on the top of his head) and I give him about a million hugs a day. I don't think I would kiss him on the mouth since he licks his butt all the time.

I massage behind Ella's ears when I'm holding her, and I've kissed her on the back of her head before, but I don't let her lick me. I put this on another forum, but I have this OCD germ thing and it just creeps me out, lol. I don't have a problem when other people do it though. The only thing that makes me cringe is when people put their plates on the floor for the dog to lick off of. But with that sort of thing, I just kind of turn my head the other way. But I do want to say, I don't think there is anything wrong with it, I just have issues, lol.

I'm actually allergic to them. I have way less problems with my skin, when I wash everytime I touch them. The thought of saliva and dander on my skin makes me just about break out in hives, just the thought...

i cuddle and hug with my dogs. harley, our gsd, loves affection. he moans and whines when he gets petted. the frenchies are cuddlers. they get right up in my neck and hug. i dont kiss them on the lips, but i smooch them chubby cheeks alot. they are extremely lovable and always want to give kisses.  Kiss The Dog

yeah the only place i feel safe enough to kiss Harvey is on top of his head and his cheeks..the other places are defiantely out of bounds with all that bum an bits licking that goes on
