people that hit an animal should always stop and help it. i dont see how anyone could just leave them in the road to suffer and die. our old house was right on a busy road. we shared a fence with the neighbor behind us. he was putting up a new fence so we had to chain harley when he was out until he got it finished. he told us we could let harley loose because his gate was closed and he could just run around both yards.
i get a frantic call at work from my daughter that harley had got hit. the neighbors wife went out their gate and forgot about harley and left it open. the lady that hit him stopped and watched him get up and go through their gate and onto our back porch. she was frantic with worry for him. i rushed him to the vet and he had some scrapes , but no broken bones or internal damage. he is a big boned large gsd. about 120 lbs. the vet said his size and being healthy saved him. she said she was doing about 50 miles an hour and he came out of nowhere and she couldnt stop in time. but at least she stopped to let us know what happened. she even came back the next day to check on him. she could not believe he survived it.
I can't believe he survived. Are you sure supreman isn't missing his dog cause I think you have his dog. LOL Plus hitting animals and leaving them to die is bad but if people do it to humans what do you expect we all wish it was different and that no humans or animals got hit or that at least people always stopped to check on the animals or human. People can be so heartless sometimes.
im used to seeing alot of wildlife like rabbits and the odd pigeon squished into the tarmac..Rabbits and pigeons are all over the place but when i see a badger or fox and deers its really sad as there are so few epsecially the badgers. When its a cat or dog it breaks my heart..someones beloved pet has died in such a horrible way...all it takes is for people to slow up abit and give them a chance to get out the way
I came home one day to find a big black cat with a collar on which had been hit and made in onto the path and died..it was still alittle warm and floppy so it was only dead a short while.. i picked it up and i went knocking on peoples doors as i was new to the area and didnt know whos cats it was..well i found the owner and they were in floods of tears as the cat was pregnant and expecting kittens..i felt pretty helpless (and alittle annoyed as they should have took more care of a pregnant cat) so i just helped the owner bury the cat in their garden
