Well, the time has come for all of us to move to our new city and a new house. We've sold our house and sign off on it Tuesday after living here for 13 yrs. Moving day is Thursday. We found 1and a 1/2 acres in Surprise AZ with a huge building to move our business into. There's an old house there now, but we are tearing it down to build a new house. It's been a very stressful experience. But the best is yet to come.
We will be living in a 30 ft. travel trailer until Dec. or Jan. until the house is built. 2 dogs, 3 cats, 6 turtles, roughly 25 fish and room permitting, me and Hubby. Needless to say, I will be lucky to have a small t.v. to watch let alone a place to set up the computer. I will probably have to borrow a computer to check email and monitor our website.
I'm mostly worried about how my furkids and the fish and turtles will fare. Moving and changes are so stressful for them. Everyone keeps reminding me to focus on the "big" picture and whats ahead for all of us. My dogs will have a wide open space to play and we'll have a bigger home and be able to work on our property. That means no more long commutes.
So, if Ansy wants to clean out old accounts, just remind her that I eventually will be back. If anything I'll be back to read Tuna's joke of the day. They are really great.
I just hope me and Hubby can live in such close quarters without trying to strangle one another for the next few months.
So, if I don't make it back for awhile, everyone here take care!!!! Be safe!!!! Love one another!!!
Wow...sounds stressful but yet exciting. Just think of it being a very long camping trip. LOL!!! I bet you can't wait until your hause is built. And when you finally move into it you will be in heaven. You are a lot stronger than me. I don't think I could go a day without my computer.
Too me the biggest stree is hoping that everything makes it through the move and hoping I have enough room for all my stuff. LOL That main thing I look for in a new house are the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom size. I also make sure that the yard is an ok size for a big dog. At the moment since my mother and me are moving we are looking for a size that is pretty big either lliving room dining room or a den that is big enough to fit an 8 by 10 pool table.
Oh man and you are going to leave your hubbys work of art gate I hope you are going to have air conditioning in the trailer. I know a gal that is relocating to Arizona as we speak. Good luck.
i hate moving . i have never moved out of state. it would be kind of fun but scarey .i'm glad we bought this place and dont have to move ever again. good luck and congradulations on your new place. hope to see some pics when you get your computer back up and settled in. good luck and be safe.
Well, most of my furniture has been moved to storage. The fish and the turtles have been placed in their "foster homes" with my daughter.Turtles are great!! They just go with the flow and are happy as long as someone feeds them their silversides once a day. The fish totally freaked. The yellow and black striped catfish turned completely black while we had him in a tote. Once he was back in the aquarium, he got his stripes back. The oscars played dead for awhile, but are back to normal.
The cats hid in the closet all day and the dogs are sniffing around trying to find out where we hid the furniture. They are definitely nervous since this is the only home they've ever known.
Puttin, yeah we're leaving my Hubby's metal art gear gate. That was the real deal maker in selling the house. The people wanted all the metal art that was displayed. They also wanted him to sign it. The got it all except the 12' giraffe that he made me for my anniversary.
It sure feels strange knowing that complete strangers are going to be living in my house, now. It also seems like the house is sad and doesn't want us to go.
whats all this 'metal art'..is it your hubbys buiseness or pleasure? Do you have a site i can look at
I was sad leaving my old home and it felt weird to me also that someone else would be living there. I felt like i was leaving my memories behind~ i get so attached to the homes i lived. I should be moving in the near future and i just want to stay in one place and finally feel like i can settle there for good and not have to ever move again.
Here's our website to the business part of the metal art. They're mostly decorative gates. There's tons more in a picture portfolio that needs to be put on the site.
You tell those people if they ever don't want them that you want them back. LOL sort of like your puppies.
I was watching one of those home remake shows and there was a kitchen that they were re-doing. It was all custon done by the women that lived there. Tile work, paintings on the walls. The artist was crushed that she had to tear it apart. She brought the original owner in and she had no problem with them redoing it. Said it was just part of life. The person in charge of redoing it made her a big trivet our of 4 of the tiles she had in the kitchen. Original owner did not act like she cared much. LOL But at least it was appreciated. Your husband does great work.
Twink you see pitz avatar. Well the gate behind her is her hubbys work.
