My cat is a loon..cute pics, etc

Well, today Matt and I kidnapped Sarah and brought her to my house. She was really good until she started screaming, she is teething. Any tips would be great. I drugged her up and as soon as she swallowed it, she shut up. Matt said he was about to just throw her across the room! ha! He's evil. Before he took her back home, I showed her to my dogs at the fence, staying back and they got all happy and Sophie stood up and was growling so I bopped her on the nose and scolded her! Sarah's so harmless, Sophie's too dumb to know that. ha! Couldn't trust her with anyone. And later this is what was in the baby bed in my room...

And some of the precious baby...She's precious if she's not mad..ha!

She probably was jealous...I didn't want her in the same room because I couldn't watch her every move, and I don't know for sure what she'd do to Sarah. So now, she is claiming it as hers. Sophie was mean, I wasn't close enough to where she could get close to Sarah, I'd have her head over that baby if she did ANYTHING to her! ha

I love this the green blanket, Paige. I've had it forever. I never turn back my bed when I go to sleep so I just cover up with the green comforter. :) No telling how old it is but it's my fave. Matt and I stayed the night at Derricks moms on Saturday with Derrick, Christa and Sarah and their dog Sassy (pomeranian) was there and she growled at Sarah and Matt went all crazy on her. She's very bipolar or something cause she protects her all the other times and has never growled at her before. She's been abused in the past so I guess that's why.

That's cause cats will lay on babies and smother them, cause babies can't do like we do, and push them off. Old wives tales say they steal the child's breath. The actuality of it is revealed here by Snopes, but I still would be wary of critters laying with children that small.
http://www.snopes.com/critters/wild/catsuck.htm
I looked at other sites, that were rescue oriented, they are all" naw, it don't happen" cause they want you to adopt a cat. I would say better safe than sorry. The cat would be no more at fault than a towel, which could probably do the same thing, you just don't want things laying on top of a baby.

My sis in law gave that teething medicene to her 1st born, I thought too much. He was a little slow then as a kid. I think I would go easy on that stuff. I remember having dinner with her and when the kid made some noise, that stuff knocked him right out. I would rather hear the baby making normal noises...healthier...Not screaming and carrying on, was he, you know. I think it can be abused, like any drug.
I think that some parents get a towel and dip it in icy water and hold it for a teething baby to chew on. Of course there are all kinds of stuff made for that in the baby stores. I think some rings are made to go in the fridge or freeze, to make them cold.
Calcium is a natural seditive and pain killer, so if the food is more than formula, I would make sure carrots were part of the diet, as they are real full of calcium. I bet those little gerber pots have carrots, but it would be simple to steam and mash fresh ones, too.

Yeah, kinda.
It makes sense that you would not want the cat to lay on the baby's face though. Heck, I would not want one on my face[excuse me while I go itch and sneeze, just thinking about it]

Thanks for the info on calcium, Kitty. I'll have to let them know that. =)

Well, with the tylenol stuff, they only give her baby pain killers whenever her teeth are hurting so they don't use it too much but she was throwing such a big fit I had no choice, we couldn't let her be in pain and drive us nuts in the process. ha...I felt so bad for her I almost cried. My mom told me you can dip a rag in whisky and rub it on the spot that hurts and it'll numb them up and knock them out. I would do that as a last resort. I don't know for sure if she did that with me or not. We always let her make her normal noises, I'd never dope her up for talking to herself. I was laying on my bed and she was sitting on my stomach and Matt and I kept clicking our mouths and she did it back and if I stopped, she looked at my mouth like "Come on, keep that up!" ha!

I get her 3 days, a week 2-3 hours a day in late September when mommy starts school. She's trying to crawl and I know once they start walking, it's hard to keep up with them. Something to look forward to, I guess. ha!

Sounds like you are a great bbsitter.
That was my sil's 1st, she has 4 now.
I just thought it was excessive, it was a pink gel/liquid.
I think it is too normal to cut teeth. When she gave the medicene it was because he had burbled something to us, it did not seem like an appropriate time to dose the kid. He knocked out real fast in the high chair. It was almost 20 years ago, maybe mom's and docs are smarter now.
Don't ask me though, I don't have kids
