Oscar is mad

We bought a new comforter last night and now Oscar isn't allowed in the bed. This is our 4th bedspread in the past 3 years and I plan on keeping this one for a while. Its a down one so it was costly...but it feels like you are sleeping on a cloud. So comfortable. I do feel guilty though but I am tierd of him tearing up everything. Maybe I'll go get him a nice big bone to chew on. LOL!!! And yes, he still hasn't been on my new couches.

lol Harvey was never allowed on the sofa  as we got these lovely chenile throws which cost a small fortune but that all went out the window when the power of Harveys Puppy eyes took over

I am notorious for the change out of comforters. MAybe you could sew up a cover made of the old comforter and let him have it. I always keep a throw on my bed so's they don't mess it up. All that digging will tear threads up and out. Big ole claws like Oscars would dig a hole to china. LOL

sewing up a cover out of the old comforter is a great idea. then its no big deal if he digs on it. i let my frenchies on my bed. annie used to dig herself a spot to lay down, but i scolded her when i caught her doing it. she is alot better now. when they are tired of running around playing, i can always find them sacked out together on our bed. our biggest problem is our cat who like to sharpen his claws on everything in the house.

To protect a good comforter I use a flat sheet over it.. in a corresponding color. They are cheep and very EZ to throw in the washer…

I don't mind any of my dogs on the bed except Zoe.  I wish I could keep her off.  She's so demanding.  She is going to lay where she wants to lay, end of story.  I battle with her all night long.  I sleep horribly.  At night, I liked it better when she was being bad during the day and she was sleeping in her crate.

This is another OCD thing I am all wonky about. I don't let any animals on my bed. Not even the cat. I'm defective I know, lol. But yeah, the dogs have always slept in a kennel at night, and we close our bedroom door so the cat can't come in. I'm such a meanie....

I love those type of comforters and I totally know what you mean by saying they are costly.

I know how you feel Paige! I'm on my 6th comforter and my second bed...lol...I have to lock out all the cats cause one has been peeing on the bed and only Syd and Hyde can sleep with us cause they are small and stay clean. Im tired of comforters getting ruined and now im using my mom's old down one, so I have to really be careful, she might want it back someday..lol.
