Something my mom had emailed to me (I have since deleted it Dumb me)  mentioned Mars was close to the earth or something this month.  I haven't seen it, but dont remember the dates either.

Oh, well...I gave the heads up.
I bet the place to be is my grandma's house in the desert. There are NORMALLY tons of shooting stars to see out there.
The sky sits on your face in the desert.

I'm really bummed because I was at my mum's ranch this weekend, so I knew I would get to see tons of them because of all the stars where she lives....but the darn weather! It was cloudy all day, and then it started to rain around midnight and didn't stop until morning. I was really bummed I didn't get to see that! I love astonomy. I have a telescope that my grandfather gave me that was built in Germany in WWII. He gave it to me when I was a little girl, and I have been fascinated by stars ever since

Huh. That's too bad.
It was overcast here in So. Calif., but that was a godsend, it broke the heat.
It was kinda cold tonight, yay!

I didn't see it either. Rained so much. We got around 4 inches this weekend.  One place recorded 8 inches of rain.
