Update on “Bruce” ~ I took his *drain* out yesterday… he was super good about it… I was amazed!
The night before and yesterday he was shivering … so I checked with the Vet .. who said that it was from pain and healing.
His wound looks great.. healing very quick.. he’s still limping and it still hurts … but overall he’s awesome! He’s been at my side since we came home Monday evening, have yet to leave the house… ( I have cabin Fever.. ug!)
Hoping today we will hear from the lab… with good news.. or may have to still wait until Monday …
.. we wait and see if anything else occurs in the next 3 months and proceed from there. Tumor has been removed... and He is healing from that... just starting his 2nd week with the big cut and stitches.. stitches come out next week... > this is so hard... I love him SO much!!!

Prognosis/Grade-2 MCT: It is reported that 50-75% of dogs with Grade 2 MCT survive long-term (beyond 35 weeks). Another study concluded that 44% of dogs with Grade 2 MCT survived long-term (over 4 years) after nothing more than complete surgical removal of their tumors. Yet another author reports a 45% mortality rate.

Hi Ivy, how Brucey boy doing? Those were really big openings the vet made. Is he healing up good? Hows about a new thread, this one will probably get lost, as people don't usually go back to the old threads. For me, I just come straight here and try to remember which thread I posted on and need to read. In email, I get the email digest, but it does not tell me which post got a responce from.
Puttin .... he's driving me nuts... lol ... he wants to so badly play and run... :
sprint:
I have to keep saying "stop"... he reminds me of a 3yr old that is supposed to be sick in bed... but will not stay in bed or be still. So I would guess He is feeling a lot better. I am .. for his sake ... ready to have those stitches out. I would take them out myself but the Vet asked me to let him check the wound first.. before they come out... arrr... Sunday will be 14 days... and Tueday is the Vet appointment.
