lockdown!

I woke up this morning and opened my linen closet and it stunk of pee! I then broke down and sarted crying cause i am so frustrated with Fez. My boyfriend then relaized that there was pee all over his clothes in the closet, so Fez has been having more accidents then we thought. I made him an appt for tomorow at the Vets office but in the mean time I locked all the cats in one room with food, water, and two litterboxes. And I think thats were they are staying. Im at the end of my rope, im so frustrated. If Fez is found to be healthy tomorow I dont know what to do. Even if i were to give him away, what if he has this problem in his new home and they end up getting rid of him? I could always type up a contract but that doesnt garentee that the people i give him to follow it. There is this lady who runs a cat rescue who is always bringing cats to my vets, maybe I can talk to her and she can take him if i have to find him a home. I dont know.

A a couple years ago I had a cat named Tristan, I was moving and all this stuff was going on and I felt I needed to find her a home where she could get more attention and have a cat friend to play with. At the time i was taking animal science classes and I had met this nice guy in my class who wanted a cat for a playmate for his cat. So after talking with him for a couple weeks, i told him he could have her. When he picked her up I told him do not ever let her go outside and keep her collar on her. Well 6 months later he calls me to tell me that 3 weeks after i gave Tristan to him, she ran away! And he had taken off her collar. I couldnt believe he waited 6 months to tell me! I could have tried finding her, and to this day I still look for her. I learned a lesson, and thats why im so nervous to give Fez away, unless he goes to a rescue.I knew this guy and he didnt tell me or listen to anything i said!

I could also keep Fez at my work, we have a cat room and the cages have a view into the office and you can see them. Maybe I can keep him in one of those and one of our clients would be interested, then i could still see him when he comes in and stuff.

Im sorry this is so long!

I don't know huge amounts about cats, but I do know they are very smart and trainable. I'm wondering if Fez has it in for your boyfriend!!! Some cats will mess on a persons things if they are irritated with them.  I know a gal that was telling me her cat pee'd on her bed. I mentioned the boyfriend thing, and she said it was a new boyfriend. Does Fez seem to like you boyfriend. Maybe he think boyfriend takes too much time from him. Just a thought. But cats can get vindictive.

My boyfriend and I got Fez together, i dont think its about Jason, Jason is the one who gives him extra attention, and love. So Fez loves him, he also likes me too.

All the places Fez had peed are all places he sleeps. He sleeps on my boyfriends pile of clothes, and sleeps on our beds. Well he doesnt sleep on our beds anymore though.I just dropped him off at the Vets for an appt tomorow, and just incase it isnt Fez Im getting Stash spayed, if she isnt in heat already she will be soon.Hopefully they find out Fez has a bladder infection, cause at least with meds it can be fixed.

PD, thats a good idea, but Fez has always been a little skittish, he is good with us but im scared if i did something like that , that he would freak out and always hide. He seems to be a pretty sensitive cat.

Thanks for the suggestions! And im gonna tell Jason not to leave his clothes on the floor anymore!

My sisters cat used to pee all over her bed too. She took him to the vet and a ton of money later she found out he had diabetes.
