Just curious as to how many of you guys brush your dog's teeth. All my dogs except Winnie is under 2 and their teeth are all white, im wondering though if I need to brush theirs yet, or wait till i notice plaque on them. I bought some toothpaste and a toothbrush for Winnie cause I noticed her teeth starting to yellow. I just brushed them and her teeth are all white once more!
How often should you brush your dogs teeth? The box said 2-3 times a week, is that enough?
I used to brush them 2 times a week until I bought the best Kong Dental toy with Breath Paste included. It works even better then brushing on Mias teeth. It actually has slits to get inbetween the teeth. Mia is really picky on what she eats, and she goes crazy for the Kong when I squirt in the paste in the slits. I got mine at Petco when they had a good deal of stuff on clearence. That was the first Kong Mia has ever had! And she wasnt able to chew it apart- I was IMPRESSED! I read on several sights not to give greenies to dogs anymore. Dogs could choke, or get them stuck in there digestive tracts. Im sure everyone else knows that already though. Ive heard several people say that Greenies are fine though Im not sure, just thought Id share.
i dont brush their teeth. i know people that do though. they have dental bones that they chew on and i give them milkbones too . i know they sell doggie toothbrushes and toothpaste though. lol
I brush Koda's teeth every other day. He is just over 3 years old and he has very pretty white teeth. Koda LOVES to have his teeth brushed. When I get the toothpaste and his toothbrush out, Koda starts jumping all four feet in the air. It is funny and then he sits right in front of me and opens his mouth. He loves it.
We use Petrodex Poultry flavored toothpaste and he has a two sided toothbrush. He still gets bones and other things to chew on but I enjoy that time with him and he likes it alot too. :)
