They still don't know whats wrong with him but we no its not cirrhosis. I think they are leaning towards him pancrease. But they are not doing anything. He is starting to have kidney trouble now. I feel like the doctors are just taking their time with everything. I know they mentioned doing exploritory surgery but I don't know when. I swear if my father dies because they are taking their time they are going to have a huge lawsuit on their hands.
Oh no, don't think negative...put it this way, maybe if they are being so slow and not taking it so seriously, there's nothing seriously wrong Always try to look on the bright side. On the other hand, I hope your being hysterical and letting your doctors no you are worrying this much! It would help. I hope he gets better soon, with or without the help of the idiot doctors.
I keep on missing the doctors because they come when I am at work or when I go home for bed. My aunt is up there though and she is a nurse so she knows all the questions. But so far we know my dad is having some sort of liver failure and his kidneys are going. His stomach is really hard and distended. He is in a lot of pain. I am just praying that something will happen soon. He told me the other night that he was ready to go see his daddy. We have had one of the nuns come in to talk to him. She comes in everyday to see him. She seems to make him feel better. I am just at my wits end with all of this.
I'm sorry to hear that the doctors have not made any progress. Hopefully, they will figure out what the problem is soon. I wish your dad the best and will keep him (and you) in my thoughts. It must be terribly frustrating for you to have to watch the doctors get nowhere and not to be able to help your dad yourself.

sorry to hear that youre dad is still in the hospital. it does seem like he has been in there for awhile now with no diagnosis. at least no definate one anyway.it is frustrating worrying about our loved ones and not knowing what is going on or being able to help. hopefully they will find the problem and get him takin care of and out of pain. i will keep you all in my prayers.
I hope he makes it through all of this. I would have already slapped the docotors across the face and told them to get to work if I was in your place. Don't do that though.
paige, maybe you could set up a time where your family could sit down with the doctor and talk to him face to face. at least you would be getting your information stright from him. sometimes nurses dont really know or dont want to give out too much information. i think it would be better to speak directly to the doctor himself. if you need to make an appointment , then do it , but at least you would know more than you are being told now.
My aunt is up there to catch the doctors. They are going to stick a big needle in his gut to get some of the fluid out. He is real swollen. The GI doctor should be in there sometime today and tell us the plan. I won't be able to get back up there until later on tonight so hopefully I will no more.
pige thats awfull that your dad is suffering Hopefully things will start looking more positive for you and your father an family. I'm sending positive thoughts your way
