You can also try out of state. Some places are so dead set on saving a pets life they will drive over the state line to get the animal and care for it.

I hope everything works out for him I would take him if I could but there are alot of people who do dog fighting around here so  Iwould be to afraid he would be stolen for that purpose.

  I got Sampson {thats his name!} Into my rescue!  YEEAAA!!!  I am picking him up tomorrow, and my neighbor who has one Pit boy already has agreed to foster him for 2 weeks, and if it dosnt work out then hopefully we will have Mia{ my strange dog aggressive girl}  used to being around Sampson, and I will just foster him!!  Im so happy I could help this poor guy, and I cant wait to pick him up.  I guess he is not neutered, not current on vaccinations, and has the mange that is not catchy!  So I will bring him to the Rescues Vet to get him all the things he needs!  Yea!  Im so excited!  This poor guy that has been passed around twice, will soon be safe and sound, and get the care he desperatly needs and deserves!  Im so Happy, happy happy!  I guess he has some bald spots now, so he may not look pretty!  His owner did get the skin scrapings done and its not the catchy type, but the owner said she wasnt going to keep him so didnt want to pay for it!  Sampson is going to NEVER have to worry about anything now that he is a Pet Haven baby!!!! 

  Ah- DONT even say that I may keep him! ...lol !!  Mia is enough work for me! The good kind of work though!   Not to mention I can not afford another dog at all.   Because of Holly!   I just wanted  to help Sampson because I have heard nothing but good things about his personality, and since I am at capasity in my home now, I just do pre-screenings for my Rescue and answer phone messages, and do return phone calls when people have messages about our dogs at Pet Haven.  Plus Holly will have her surgery in a few weeks, and it wouldnt be good for her to have a rambunctious youngster coaxing her to play!  Also Pet Haven has 2 different foster people that will take Sampson or any Pit Bulls for that matter, and as soon as they place one of there fosters, Sampson will have another Foster if needed!   If not, or if I prefer he will stay with me.    I hate to admit it but I already am in love with him, and just know I will cry when he gets placed!  Im glad my neighbor will foster for us!  Ill let you know Dusty and try to get a pic of him when we get him tomorrow-I am so excited!   My neighbor who has a pit already{ and has agreed to foster}  is just so excited as well!   She said Timber would love a playmate!    She just tore up all her carpet in one room of her basement, and is getting that room dog proofed as we speak!{  For when she is at work ! }  She loves Pits so much, and she is so happy to help Sampson!  Hopefully everything will work out with them!    Im so happy there will definatly be a happy ending for Sampson!

  I only have 10 minutes{ and I type slow!} and I have to go back into work!  Just wanted to say poor Sampson-{We call him Sam now! }  Looked HORRIBLE!  Adorable of course, and looks more to me like a Bull Terrier mixed with Pit Bull!  But we got him on Sunday , and he looked like  one neglected boy!  He is at the Vets as we speak.   Big bald spots and skinny.   I will pick him back up after work today!  He spent one night here, on Sunday night, and he cried at night!  Poor guy.  His Mange WAS the catchy kind! I guess by the time I saw him, I wasnt surprised.  Ive never seen that in real life, only pics!   But he is getting meds for that, he got neutered this morning, and is microchipped and vaccinated now!  Yea!!!!  I cant believe people, how could they have let him go without treatment!  I am happy at least she told me about him and just didnt dump him off to anybody, or to a kill shelter.    My neighbor who will foster him has a digital camera so we will get pics soon!  As soon as we get a pic, he will be listed on Pet Finder!  He is such a nice boy, and WILL be even more georgeous after his hair comes in and he eats GOOD food on a REGULAR basis.  Ive cried many times since I picked  him up from the home he was in, its sad and so apparent he was neglected.  But Im also happy that my Rescue did all that vet work for him!   Hope we find a good home soon for this cutie!  He is very unique looking, and VERY much a puppy still!
