I have been putting ads everywhere for Hope, and this girl responded yesterday and asked for a pic. I sent her one and got worried that she would see her pic and be scared off, but i just got an email from her and she said her mom is really intrested and she feels so bad for Hope and would like to go see her! So Hope might have found a home! Of course we will be doing a home check and interview to make sure its the right place for her, but im so excited I hope this happens for poor Hope!
Also I took her to her appt. today and we found out what is wrong with her skin. She has allergies and her previous owners never did anything about it, so some of her hair may not grow back but with medicated baths every two weeks, her skin could look MUCH better and he hair might grow back!
The rest of Hope's exam is later today cause they needed a urine sample and she had peed right before the visit so she was on empty. So later today I should find out the final results. I'll let you all know what happens!
that will be great if those people work out and give her a home. poor old gal deserves to live out the rest of her life happy. hopefully her pee test will come out okay . she looks like such a sweet natured girl. a happy home could make all the difference. its great all that you have done for her.
What kind of allergies does she have? I am also glad that so far there isn't really major wrong with her which might help with finding her a home faster. I also hope that everything works out with this girl who is thinking about getting hope. Keep us updated.
PD, she has chronic dermatitis, which is just an inflamation of the skin, but im not sure yet what actually is causing her allergies, could be fleas, food, who knows. But we will start giving her food thats good for allergies and we will give her frontline, so if its caused by one of those things it should make her feel better, but her skin is scarred for life, very sad.
Luckily these people intrested in adopting her dont mind giving her a medicated bath every two weeks. These people seem really nice, i hope it works out.
That is great news. Some dogs also have allergies to different flea meds too. There is a pit mix at our rescue that will break out in hives, we still are uncertain what is causing it. But she gets little sores on her body. Gosh it could be so many things that cause the allergies. Does the people who want to see her live in the same town as you? Can you post her picture, or did they post her yet on the animalrules site yet?
That's good news. I hope the potential new family turns out to be as good as they sound. If Hope's coat grows back, the hair will cover some of the scars. It's unfortunate she had to get them in the first place, but if her hair grows, the scars may turn out not to be so noticable.
