This was my morning so far. Got out of bed and rushed the puppies downstairs before they peed on my bed.
Get Sam(2) and Jack(4) up (Jack chooses a school day to sleep in, of course).
Get two boys dressed. This sounds simple. Add in 3 puppies trying to help just to keep things interesting.
Finally got to pee and brush my teeth.
Brought everyone downstairs to eat. Fed 3 dogs, 2 kids and 5 4 week old foster kittens. Had to quickly remove one kitten before Jack asked too many questions. (We lost the runt of the litter last night )
Made Jack's lunch amidst much whining about not being able to play gameboy at the table and that the bananas are too cold.
Went upstairs to find shoes, get myself dressed. Got swatted in MY OWN closet by Lucy (13 yo cat) who thinks she runs the world
Loaded 2 kids and 2 dogs into the car. (picture yourself trying to stuff and octopus into a very small pillow case)
Dropped Jack and Sam at school
Dropped Casey and Iko at the groomers.
Went to Dunkin Donuts (Ahhhhhh)
Went to town hall to sign jack up for tennis tots
Went to the Animal shelter to drop off the kitten and pick up food for the remaining kittens
Went to the mt Vernon tennis place to get info on lessons for hubby
Went to stop and shop for Clorox and fab softener. Anyone have any idea how much laundry is generated by a household of 2 adults, 2 kids, 3 dogs, 5 kittens, and 1 cat??!?! Lots!!!
Went home because I had to pee again.
Hand fed remaining kittens to make sure they all ate.
Called Isobel (director of fostering) to tell her about the kitten
Picked sam up at school and stopped by the groomers. They said the puppies were not ready and that I had plenty of time to put sam down for a nap.
Put sam down at 12:05
12:15 - groomer called to say the puppies are ready.
Then I ate breakfast!!!
This was such a sad/funny/crazy morning that I had to share.
I'm off now to do some laundry, get Sam up, pick up the dogs at the groomers, pick up jack from school and start dinner!
Wow, sounds like my house, and I TOTALLY agree that stay at home moms are not the pretty picture we make it out to be. I was up at 7 getting my two girls fed (3 and 5) and letting Koda out, stopping a catfight between asha and cinder. Got my 5 year old in the shower and started getting my 3 year old dressed, who thought it was funny to jump off the couch in her underwear because "she can fly!" (Yah, great) Got her dressed, got my other one out of the shower and brushed her teeth had her getting dressed while I brushed my 3 year olds teeth. Did hair for both (they have long hair and are not crazy about it getting done) so of course they complained the whole time. Lost the homework that is due today and then found the homework that is due today, found the paper for the PTA sign up (don't ask me why we signed up for another thing on our list) The girls did their daddy goodbyes and we were off to school. Note now that the time is only 7:45. My oldest got to school on time and then we came home and groomed Koda because he is show and tell today! :) Plus he has dog training tonight. My three year old instantly came home and stripped. (I do not know why, but she hates clothes lately) Next thing I have to do is finish a logo I am working on for my BIL and then make lunch and then we are off to show and tell. And it is not even 11:00 yet!
