He's not very much fun yet though :( He won't come out of his cage!! At least he won't let me take him out of his cage. He won't perch on my finger and when he does get out of his cage, he's a b*tch to catch!! I always leave the door to his cage open when I let the dogs out, but he will just come out and fly around and run into stuff and throw a flippin cow whenever I try to pick him up!! And the lady at the pet store said he was handled by the breeder more than the other birdies in his nest. I believe it too though, because even I could tell before she told me that that he was smarter than the other ones in his cage. Maybe he'll let me take him out one of these days.......

Take off the 3 or 4 long flight feathers on each of his wings, and wear a pair of gloves.
Put him in an area where the other animals can't eat him if he flops to the ground.
Birds require sunlight, shade, and greens, as well as grit, real clean water, occasional spritzing, and good variety seed mix.
All the handling he's had will be trashed if you don't begin gentling him now.
I used to have many cockatiels.
Get a cage where he can come out, and you are not as threatening, reaching in at him...
He is a pearly color, yes? I had pearly, lutino, and several greys.

If you are terribly gentle, they like having their face feathers ruffled, however, like cats, they will bite if you do it wrong. I had one that I would say "face scratch?" he would turn his head at all angles, as I wriggled my fingers against his feathers.
