Not to brag or anything :P I did this one for a girlfriend of mine that I met in cosmetology school (I painted it from a pic she had taken of her). She's into witchcraft, that's why it's set in a graveyard. Supposedly there's a witch buried in that very graveyard...............
I painted it with oil paints. It was done from a photograph that my friend had taken in a cemetary. I did this one for her birthday. I've never done anything to sell, just done them all for pleasure or sheer boredom It's very fun for me, but I have to be in the right mood for it though. I just started doing a portrait of Eli, our last doberman. I've just barely started it, but I plan on doing a portrait of each of the pets and hanging them in the dogs' room.
OMG! Mollie!! I never knew that you did this kind of thing!! It's awesome. I love gothic/cryptic stuff like that. I'd like to see more of what you've done. Got any others?
Zoe.....that avatar reminds me of some sort of shock therapy.....lol
Nice! I can do pencil and charcoal pretty well, but I have never tried oil painting. I would LOVE to learn, that's awesome that you can do that Did you ever read that thread about art.com? You can do paintings. Ivy and I were going nuts on that site, lol. You should try it if you haven't Here's the link:(sorry if you've already seen it, I couldn't remember...) http://artpad.art.com/artpad/painter/

That is very nice, your friend will be very happy with it. That gal in the picture looks VERY much like a gal that owns a tatoo shop here in town. They have a shop that sells quirky goth, punkish stuff, bodices included. I could give that to her and say it was painted for her and she would believe it....
Heres what she looks like, and heres their site. scroll down. If it does not take you to her, her name is Terrie on the artists page. Tell me if you think she looks like her.
Yeah, my friend LOVED it and so did all her family. Terri doesn't really look like Angi, but since the pic is so dark and there's no detail to her face really, I guess I could see it. Angi is shorter and a lil chubbier. But she's got a real cute face though and a personality to match. She's like my best friend. She's asked me if I'd do a portrait of her, her son, and her fiancee for her mom for Christmas. I told her maybe. I'm just not confident enough to do something with that much detail and make it look exactly like the person it's supposed to be. This one was easy because 1. it was black and white and 2. because there was little detail to her appearance, it was all shadowy. I'm nervous and hesitant to do portraits. Maybe after I do my pet portraits.........maybe.
