so true ivy. my little car is making noises so i have to wait until the first of the month to have it checked out and tag the lexus. i have been driving the truck and it seems i am always pumping money into the gas tank. if the gas keeps going up it will be an even bigger mess at the local station. they get alot of business because of their cheaper gas prices.
I live in North Texas and yesterday gas went from 2.44 to 2.79. I really don't care about gas prices now though because I'm not having to drive 100 miles or more a day. I just stick to town....
They are saying not to rush and fill up and just go about normally, if everyone rushes to get as much gas as they can, we are looking at severe shortages and already many places are empty. Just try to cut back on your driving and use your gas sparingly.
I don't plan on panicing. Because after Katrina gas prices were supposed to go up to 4 a gallon but the highest here was 3.05. And then soon after they went down to 2.44. Right now I have 3 quarters in my car and that will last for a while. I guess I am glad a got laid off from my job though. Because half my paycheck was going towards gas.
If everyone rushes out to buy gas now than the gas prices will go up faster!!!!!! Buy your gas like normal!!!!
Thats what they are affarid of, everyone rushing out to get gas and gas will become short again. If gas becomes short again gas will go up again and just as fast as before when everyone was scared of a gas shortage. THERE IS NO GAS SHORTAGE!
Gas prices are not predicted to go up as fast or high with Rita. They are going to go up but they are not planning on it now.
