What is the best and safest way to send money to a breeder? I only sold puppies to local people. I need to put a deposit on this puppy but I want to be safe about it. Think a check would be safest or something like paypal? Any help at all?

I've always felt comfortable using a check as a cancelled check is proof of payment. I haven't had much experience with paypal.
