This picture was taken about a month ago, but my grandma just sent it to me and I thought it was worth sharing. It's my son holding the fish he caught. He didn't care that it was a carp, lol :)

Good job, dude!
I was taught that taking carp out of the waters makes it easier on the good game fish, so if it is not good eating, he has still done a conservation service.
Those carp put up a big fight and are real tricky at wrapping the line around stuff to escape, he is a mighty hunter...I remember failing to get carp quite a few times, as a kid...

Thanks Dusty! He's such a sweet kid. It doesn't look like it in the pic, but he is REALLY tall. He's only 4, (going to be 5 next month), and he wears size 6 clothes already, lol. But his daddy is really tall


Kittysmom, you're right about the carp thing. That lake that is in the background, it has really good Walleye fishing, but those carp really deplete the population. People try to get the carp out of there as quick as they can, lol. My step dad has what he calls the 'fish be good stick' that he whacks the carp with when he catches them. Because people that catch carp out here rarely let them back into the water. Or they fish them with bows because carp just hang out at the top of the water. They are really fun to catch though

How cute!! I can't wait to take my girls fishing, I think they are going to like it until they get a fish! My girls are really tall too, My youngest is 3(4 in Februaury) and she wears size 6 too and my oldest is almost 6(December) and she wears between 8-10 but they are super thin and all legs(they are going to be heart breakers when they are older! lol) It is odd having to edit my daughters wardrobe because there are just somethings that make her look waaayy older then she is, and so she keeps getting frustrated that I won't buy her the "cute" things! lol They are such girly girls all the way! lol

That is such a cute pic! We get lots of carp around here. Dirty fish...but i agree, they are super fun to catch!
