Hi Dusty! Things didnt go the best with Sam today at Petco. Dorothy {my neighbor} who had fostered him for 2 weeks or so did bring him to Petco, for Pet Havens adoption days. It did not go too well. People suggested Dorothy take him away from the other dogs. The dog coordinater from Pet Haven emailed me as soon as she got home and said Sam was sweet, just probably scared and nervous. And barky! She said Sam did not show very well! She hoped Sam would be better tomorrow though. Petco is having a HUGELY publisized adoption day with many No Kill rescues, including ours. He had one interested lady, who said she would be back tomorrow, but who knows.
Im doing ok as well! Just really, really nervous about Hollys surgery. I know she should do well though!
Hope your niece is doing good, and you too of course! And Rocky and Anna!
hopefully the right person will come along for samson. he's a cute guy and sweet natured. he deserves a loving family.
holly will do just fine. but i know you're a worried mamma. i am the same way over mine. it sounds like you have a really good vet too. thats a big plus. shes a fighter. holly is a fighter. look at how many times she has pulled through her attacks, when you didnt think she would. she will come through this too and be so much better for it. i will keep you both in my prayers.
my niece is home now. she had some kind of infection that settled in her spine. the antibiotics kicked in and she is so much better now. she will be going back to work at petsmart, she just cant work in the grooming dept anymore. they are thinking she got the infection from a scratch from one of the dogs she helped groom.
rocky and annie are doing good. spoiled little brats that they are.its too funny the way they follow me everywhere. like two shadows. i think quinn gets a little jealous at times so i tell him they only do that because i am the one that feeds them lol
Surgery bumped up to Oct. 5th. Im doing pretty well today, I bet not so well tomorrow. I could not get the day off, so my neighbor has a couple of jewish holidays off, and she will drive Holly there for me Wednesday morning for me. Holly will be hospitalized for 2 or 3 nights . Depending on how well she does. Keep my little girl in your prayers. Im realllyyy trying to be positive though! Thanks for asking about Holly and Sam dusty, I will let you know how she does forsure on wednesday! Sams second adoption day did not go much better. Pet Haven is going to have a professional trainer come out to try and help us with him! I used to think Mia was "high maintence", I have a whole different view of that concept since meeting Sam! Hes sweet, but needs work!
Thats great your niece is home! What a relief I bet! When the doc is puzzled, that is a scary thing. Similar situation with my son Lucas, until they brought him to Childrens Hospital in Minneapolis. They spotted it almost immediatly. A spinal tap on a 12 month old is not a wonderful site! I couldnt stay in the room even I was crying too much, and hysterical~! Im glad your niece didnt have it! Ill keep you posted!
