Well, i'm doing it........i'm getting Lasik. I am actually getting custom Lasik so it is not the basic one for everyone but customized to my eyes which makes it work better and will correct ANY problems i may have. Thursday morning is the day which is just in time for may b-day on Saturday... I will try to be at the chat date Thurs. evening but no promises so if not, we need another one set.......hehe. Wish me luck.
i wish you luck and want to hear how it went. i have been thinking about having it done too. i have a very small bridge on my nose and have always had trouble wearing glasses. i cant wear my contacts for very long periods of time as they start to blur and burn. i have seen the advertisements for the surgery , but i wasnt sure they could do the surgery on someone with astigmatisms in both eyes. it would be great to hear from someone who has actually had it done. good luck !!!
hey good luck with the customised eyes lol ..a neighbour got that done last week and she said it was the best thing she had ever done after wearing glasses for most of her life
My hubby has talked about going on the military waiting list to get lasik done. He's gotta get his hips taken care of first can't have too many problems floating at once. Good luck!!!
You know, eyebright herb and bilberry juice are both real effective for improving eyesight.
Also, an eye doctor was talking about how as you get older, your eyeball gets rounder[he said it better than I can], and by flattening it by holding the palms of your hands to it, and by opening your eyes extra wide, it restores the vision some, by returning it to it's youthful shape.
Well, i'm doing good so far. i went into the eye doc today to see how they look and he said i have 20/15 vision in my right eye but my left is not yet what we were aiming for. He says to give it 3 months to heal and if it doesn't improve to where we wanted, he will do an inhancement on that eye. He says it still should improve though in the next couple weeks. I can see distance things okay but it's a little fuzzy still. It is cool though to be able to read at a distance and not need my glasses anymore.
Congrats! I had it done almost 6 years ago and have never regretted it for a moment! Hopefully the vision in the left will continue to improve as you heal, but it sounds like you had a great outcome already!
