I'm going back to New Orleans tomorrow to sort out some things, so I won't be around for a little while.
I had to board all of the pets because taking them with me isn't really safe for them. I dropped them all off this afternoon. Argus has never been boarded before now. I haven't spent a single night away from her since I found her five years ago. If I go somewhere, I take her with me. When I found her, she had severe separation anxiety, and I'm worried it's going to come back. I'm also not sure how I'm going to be able to fall asleep without that comforting lump in the bed.
McKeever will be fine; she's happy to go with anyone who gives her food. She would be more than willing to trade in my life for a hunk of cheddar.
I miss the dogs already. I just got up to take them out for their late evening walk and realized they weren't here.

I leave tomorrow morning and will come back Thursday or Friday. I don't know how long I'm going to need to take care of everything. I will be able to get back into my home, and if everything is ruined, I should be able to come back on Thursday. It takes a lot less time to throw everything out than it does to pack it. If some stuff survived, I'll put most of it in storage and bring back clothes and a few books. I hope I can salvage my coat and a few sweaters, but I'm not counting on it. I'm freezing in Missouri.

have a safe trip and i hope you wont be going back to alot of damage. i know how you feel about your dogs. i have never been away from mine either. i think i would be a nervous wreck without my little lumps in the bed too .
At least you were able to warn us that you were gonna be gone this time.......lol But we will still worry none the less. Be safe, good luck and hurry back. I hate leaving my furkids behind too and think of them the whole time.
I'm sure the dogs will be fine, just another cool adventure for them.
Good luck, I hope all your stuff that you need is there. If it got wet, a little bleach will see you warm in Missouri, otherwise, make a trip to Wal-mart.
