My husband always calls my youngest poodle squirt. Well today she did just that. I was brushing her and I thought she has the runs. Her anal glands squirted. Ewwwwww. Never ever have I ever had that happen. I've clear the glands in the tub but good lord. It was quite a surprised. Soooooooo, beware, be very awareeeee. LOL
I think I would die. I know another person who has a maltipoo and has had to have her glands cleaned out everytime they go to the groomers. Chason has no issues. Should I look out for something???? I don't want this to happen.
Well I honestly thought my don't need that done. i finally asked the vet to show me and he said Sasha were very full. So I do hers every few months. You can feel around the bum hole if it feels bulbous at about 4 and 6 o clock, then they need it.
OK. I really needed to hear that. I truely hope that I never see a Labrador's anal glands [I promise they will never see mine]. Remind me, never to ask my sister, the groomer- with standard poodles, anything about her job.
