Mia killed my back!

I am in so much pain- anybody know of anything becides large dosages of Ibuprprphen?  I have done that, and its still killing me-BAD!  I hate Docs SO SO SO SO Bad, I dont want to go, but when I chased Mia, and she stopped and waited for me, that part didnt hurt.  It was running with Mia all hunched over because Mia runs HEAD DOWN, and I ran a block that way.  I have been so crabby and in so much pain, its really irritating.  Any suggestions becides Ibuprophin,  or Advil which I have taken all day?  It is really painful!

also a hot bath really helps. i get lower back pain alot. i think mine is caused from the way i walk because of my feet being so bad. but i take a thick towel and soak it in hot water, wring it out and roll it into a roll. put it on the place where it hurts the most . usually i just lay it on a dry towel on the bed and lay down on it. do this after you soak in a hot tub. it feels soooo good and takes away the pain.  Soaking

Thanks guys! I have a heating pad, its currently being used by Holly. I think I just need to loose more weight! And excersise more too!    I just bought some kind of muscle rub stuff.  I will try that.  Also I have heard about Epsom...  If I dont feel better tomorrow I will try.  I have had neck trouble since I was really young, this back trouble is new though!  My oldest {Nick} asked if he could try to massage it!  He did, and he said it felt really hard on the left side of my back.  Thats the worst spot.  After his rub, I told him it felt better!

You know I have lived with my husbands back pain for over 10 years now. Here are a few tricks to try. Thermal care heated pads that you can get at your local drug store. They offer them for Back, Menstral, Knees, Shoulders and other achy areas. You just peel and stick to the achy area and they do the rest. No icky smells. My husband said they are good if the heating pad isn't avail. They last about 8 Hours, long enough to get a little sleep or relief riding in a bus!!!! Also if you run a HOT shower and put the shower head on pulse and let it message your back it will help. All the hot bath stuff will be great too. Other wise off to the docter and he will give you a steriod shot and you will feel better in a few days. Thats if you didn't pull any nerves or muscles. Muscles can take a while to heal. Nerves take foever to get back to normal.

I am better now!  Thank godness.  I do notice when I drive my morning route bus, that my back huts in the same spot.  I t has some really stiff suspension, and I think that is part of the problum.  When I get off the bus I am in pain.  Not the case with my other bus I drive in the Pms.  That one is much smoother.  I am going on a diet, that is probably part of the problum.  Fat people get back pain I know!
