Chi-Ching is 8 weeks old and has started violating my cat! I know it is a dominance thing but how do I stop it? Chows don't handle any type of harsh corrections well. Should I try the squirt gun? He is getting fixed as soon as he is old enough, (my vet won't do it until he is 6 months old) I just feel so bad for my cat. :(
Since most of the Chows I have met HATE water with a passion, i'd try the water gun. Actually now that I think of it, no Chow I have met likes water! LOL
See, Chingy LOVES the water. I had to fish him out of the cats water bowl yesterday, he tries to get in the toilet, he digs in his bowl(and has since he could walk), He tries to get in the shower with me, cute but no. lol He doesn't seem like he is thirsty or anything, he just wants to play. He is so sloppy too! lol When he does drink, he gets water all down his chin and chest! I have to dry him off everytime he drinks! LOL I love this puppy! Ha! Oh and through an accidental happening, we found out he loves mint flavoring and also Lemon juice(He tried to eat the lemon).......so there goes those two ideas. Someone suggested to me to just gently push him off and redirect him. I think that I will try that. My other problem is...........I think the cat likes it!
you might want to nip it in the bud now. i dont think the cat will like it when the pup gets bigger. rocky only tried humping phatboy the cat one time and he got slapped up pretty good. and now when he sees the cat he goes the long way around him. lol
Asha is kind of an odd cat......she likes Koda to chew on her....I know, sounds stupid huh? Tell her that! I have to constantly seperate them! lol I am definitley not going to let him continue but I think it is nasty that she likes it!
