Poor babies...I have never seen this breed in our shelters here. So i was kinda shocked and surprised. I was so hoping these two would be adopted by now. (First saw them a few weeks ago) I wish I could take them home but until we buy our house we can not have any more animals.
I did though look up the parent club for this breed. And from there I contacted their reg. rescue director to see if they can get these babies out of there. i have not heard back from them yet. In the mean time do ya'll of any other rescues I could contact that maybe able to help these babies?
theyare a pretty rare breed. i noticed those are mixes. they are still pretty dogs though. i dont look on those sites because i get too depressed because i cant take them all in. hopefully they will find homes. it would be cool if someone took them both together. i see they are littermates.
Yea, the mixed breed is why they might take a little while placing. One of my employees has 3 Pharaoh Hounds. They are all purebred and show dogs, 2 are champions and the other will be shortly. I would not recommend this breed as a pet as this breed is aloof and not a domestic dog. They can be loving but they are very destructive, more than you would imagine. They are not a smart breed and if you ever let one off leash, not in an enclosed area, the dog would run and you probally wont ever see it again. They are fast, almost as fast as greyhounds. Its kinda kool how they bow their heads.
