Last night I found 3 fleas on Beeper. I have no clue where he would have got them from but I gave him and Bacon a bath last night with Flea and Tick Shampoo which killed the 3 live fleas. Bacon didnt have any on him. I put frontline plus on Beeper after the bath does this really work or should I shampoo him again? I also used Hartz flea powder for the carpet and washed all the dog toys and sheets in warm water. What else can I do? My boyfriend thinks I am over reacting because it was only 3 fleas but I have never had a dog with fleas before and really dont want 2 dogs with them.
lol, your dogs are good now. Just keep an eye one them. It is very easy to get fleas. It is hard telling where they got them. Sounds like you have covered all your bases.
New Orleans has nuclear-powered fleas. They're around 12 months a year, and many commonly used flea products don't kill them. However, Frontline and Advantage always worked. Beeper should be fine.

Be careful with combining products, you don't want to poison your dog. If you have a yard, use a hose-end disposable yard spray for fleas [etc] and do the yard. I use Zodiac products. Since I spray the yard and house, once a year, my dogs wear no bug killers, and have no bugs. Be sure you get the Zodiac premise spray for the house with pre-cor [also called IGR] it keeps them from hatching/coming back for 8 months.
