at least with the american registries , you can name your own. when switching annie from fci/fkf , we found out that the name given by the breeder has to stay the same. we named her anastasia. but her registered name is allia fair lady. its no big deal with her because we dont plan on showing her. i have seen some long names in the dog shows and the name they actually call the dog isnt even included in it. just pick a name that strikes your fancy. you will know what you like best.
Our breeder was really nice about the naming, here is what he wrote back when I asked him if he wanted the kennel name in the name......... If I was going to breed or show, I would have used the kennels name.
I have always felt that it is rather presumptuous for a breeder to insist on the kennel name being included in a puppies name. You have bought that puppy and the naming of it should be left entirely to you. It would be like me selling you a car and then telling you you can't drive it outside the city limits without my permission.
