Hubby got home last night with Cinder and she was kind of loopy from the anethesia. I wanted to see what they had done. They didn't pull any of her teeth!!! That is what we paid for and there is none gone. She has one tooth in the front of her mouth that because her jaw is so crooked, it actually is poking up into the roof of her mouth. That was the most important thing to me was to get that tooth out! They cleaned them all but I am very angry. I have to call them in a few minutes to find out why she didn't get her tooth pulled. They are either going to have to refund my money or take her back in. I am scared of her going back under. God, why couldn't they have done it right?? This is the first time the vets did not do what I asked.........let's see if they have a good reason! I am going to call them, I will post after I talk to them!!
The vet is supposed to call me back within an hour. The lady said "well they probably didn't pull the tooth because it wasn't needed" and I just said, "no, it was very much needed, she has a broken jaw and her tooth is sticking up into the roof of her mouth!" She was kind of like, "um, well, okay let me see if the vet can talk to you". I think she wasn't prepared for me to be that upset but it was a risk once putting her under, I don't really want to have to do it again. Grrrrrrrrrrrr
That really sucks. Maybe they can file it down, instead of pulling it. I know of someone that has a standard poodle that its teeth came in wrong ang the canine tooth was causeing a hole in the roof of its mouth. They filed it down.
They are just over an hour away. I would go up there and if I have to I will but I am going to see if I can get a reason for what they did first. I am going to call back in 40 minutes if I don't hear from them.
Well, these really are about the best vets in town. I absolutely love them and we have tried other vets in order to help save money and it ended up costing us more to get them fixed after what the other vets messed up then if we had just went there in the first place. I have a feeling that there must be a good reason for this. They have always been excellent with all of our animals. I can't see why NOT to take out the tooth but then again I also can't get a great look into her mouth either, they may have noticed something that I didn't I don't know. The vet is in surgery now and I have to wait until he is done for him to call me.
