I hate to say it but...we hit a deer tonight. We feel so bad. But he appears to have died quickly....Man do we feel bad. I won't go into details. But looks like we did upwards of 1500.00 or more damage to the front end of the Blazer....
The deer around here are really bad this time of year, all year round really. There are tons of deer here and they have no where to go because there are no woods. When people go to get a hunting license they actually tell them to kill the deer there are so many. So sad.
Last Friday when I took Katie to the bus stop a lady right down the street had hit a deer. The deer had died and they took the lady away in an ambulance. As of yesterday she was still in the hospital in critical condition.
I almost hit one once but I avoided it and caused an accident behind me. They shouldn't have been tailgating me. I will slam on my brakes for any animal and if you're driving to close you're in trouble.

Luckily my hubby was driving. Because if I had been I know I would have swerved into a ditched or worse. There's no way I could have hit. And it happened so suddenly. We were talking rounded a curve and the it was. There was no time to hit breaks or react really. We barely got the word deer out before the accident.
I got out there ths morning to look the truck over and asess the damage. We busted a turn signal. The frond driver side fender is up against the tire. Half of the grille is missing. And I believe we cracked or punctured the radiator. Driver side fender is pushed in about 6 in.
Other than that no other damage. Well to the vechile.
I am so sorry. I hit a deer once in my firebird. It totaled out the car...I'm just glad y'all are safe. Cars can be fixed. I know when I hit the deer I had no idea what I hit until I got out and looked around. It was freaking huge!!!
OMG THATS AWEFUL!I am so glad you are okay! Deer get hit all the time around here also. They come down into the valley and are everywhere. It has been driving my dogs crazy having deer run throught the hard on a regular basis! A car is just a car...I am so glad you are okay!

Wow, Can't even imagine having that happen. Thats too bad. Good thing you were not hurt. This was not in your new blazer was it? You got the blazer right?
man are ya'll ok. Thats the main thing that ya'll are ok. Up by my grandparents lake house there are tons of deer. My aunt hit one and broke her nose. Deer don't look like they will cause that much damage to a vehicle but they due. Is that weird or what.
So sad.
