Has anyone started their christmas shopping yet? I got on last night to toys r us and hubby said just pick out the things you think they'd like and we'll go through, I was on their about 30 min and had it up over $500!! I have a feeling this is going to be an expensive christmas. But this is the first year I have been able to really get the girls what I want, we have had a very good year and so, I have a little bit bigger budget to spend on Christmas. I still haven't gone through my list to eliminate the items that they don't really need(like they need any of it! lol) Then I get to go shopping for the animals! Whoo Hooo, My favorite part, I know they will like anything I get them! lol And for all of you thinking I am being selfish and spending alot on my kids and pets, I want you to know that we are also donating toys and food and blankets to the shelter, as well as helping out with doing christmas shopping for people in the community that don't have enough money to get their kids toys. They fill out a form and we get one or more and then we go shopping for them so their kids can have christmas too.
I plan on starting my shopping on Wednesday. I really don't have a budget though. I don't plan on spending much because we are on a fixed income but we always end up spending a lot on Kaitlyn. I need to sit down and make a list though before I start.
I would love to help the needy but right now I feel like I am one of the needy.
lol, don't feel bad, the main reason we are this year is because there has been two years that we have had to use that specific service. We feel it only fair that since we used it that we should give back now that we can.
christmas will be VERY slim here also. we are living on quinns disability and it has been tight. my girls understand . they are great kids. i think some people forget what christmas is all about. they think its all about who gets the most and best gifts. its not about that at all. its about celebrating the birth of christ . sharing our time with family and friends . being thankful for all that we have been blessed with. and thanking the lord that we are still here to be able to enjoy such a happy holiday. merry christmas to all !
