medical question ?

has anyone ever heard of  myrsa ? thats what this bacteria is. i was on one antibiotic and then put on another one thats 800 mils. i took those for the ten days and still have a hard lump in my jaw the size of a quarter. its went down ALOT from what it was, but i thought it would be gone after all that medication. now they call and want me to come back in because when she took my blood pressure it was 140 over 115. i have always been very healthy , but it seems like all this crap is coming on me all at once !

I am on another list and some people were talking about a form of staph infection called "staph mrsa". Could that be what you have?

Here is a link to the CDC and what they say about it:

Be careful, I don't like all the talk in these articles about IV antibiotics, get second opinions.
I had a staph infection on my skin for 2 years [boils]. No sugar, plenty of plain yogurt and garlic, and more vegis and water have resolved it...

i finished the meds , but i still have a hard lump on my jaw the size of a quarter. i have to go back on the 8th for a follow up. hopefully it doesnt start getting big again. she did say it is very hard to treat and it was a myrsa staph. i am afraid to read too much about it or i will get myself all panicked !  lol

From what I read it did not sound to bad. It says that it is restit to most of the common antibaitoics. So you usually end up having to take a higher dose med. that is less common. I also read that it is pretty contigiaous. Hope you get fully well soon....

***my spelling is terrible tonight sorry***

Just first want to say with extreame sympathy, I hope you feel better soon.   Also wanted to say I didnt share and was wondering if I should tell you that I was rushed to the ER on Monday night at 10:30PM for what I thought was a heart attack.  I felt like I was being squeezed and also stabbed in the heart by a grizzly bear!  The pain was so hurendous, I had to call 911, as I couldnt catch my breath and my cheat hurt SO<SO FREAKIN bad!   Anyways, thats what reminded me, my BP was 140 over {something} and it was so stressful and painful .....  Get well soon!
