thanks pd !! i was able to see that one. that was way too sad for me. i cant bear to see animals abused like that. it sickens me .its sad to think that there are people so cold that they can abuse a dog like that. they need to spend long hard time behind bars with some big bubbas that LOVE animals !!
I get so pissed (am I allowed to say that, if not go ahead and edit and I apologize) as people who try to ban breeds and abuse their pets. Pits are a very common dog up here I've noticed. I have seen more people come into my store with Pits then labs (and I thought labs were VERY common anywhere, guess I was wrong) Just about every pit that has come in has been so loving. A few people I've talked to have mentioned moving to a different area and I warn them to check the local laws because of the bans. I haven't heard anything about banning the pits around the east coast, but I'm sure it'll eventually make its way.
lil X, GA tried to ban pits but it didn't go threw. Miami Dade county here in FL has banned them and a few other places here in FL. The south is a BIG place full of Pitty lovers I don't see a ban ever going threw here anytime soon. But at the same time we are also full of under ground fighting which they are cracking down on fast. We have alot of dog attacks here but rarely do they say the breed unless they know for sure what breed it was.
There was a dog attack to not long ago (prolly 6-8 months ago) and they showed the dog and the news reported it to be a Pitty when really it was not. My dad and step mom happen to be friends with the reporter that did the story (luck me unlucky him). They just happed to have a BBQ the next day and I knew he was going to be there. WELL, we had a long long talk about BSL and Pitties. The next night there was a follow up on the attack and he reported that he was mistaken that the dog was in fact not a Pitty but just a mutt. I had giving him some sites to take a look at, he also gave them out on the air and I got a Thank You on the air from him! I may not do much but I do what I can, now he doesn't report the breed unless he KNOWS for a FACT what breed it is. If he has questions about pitties he calls me dad and has him call me to cal him.
I agree it pulls at my heart strings but I wish that they would post these videos up on TV because so many more people would see it. But of course have it on a channel that kids can't access. LOL Maybe mad TV
