CAT FOOD?

well, someone stole the box of cat food i had on my front porch, so i had to go out to petsmart again.  ( nora's disneyland )  i couldnt believe how many different kinds they had.  i remember ppl in here talking about the different kinds of woofie food yall use, but couldnt remember if anyone ever mentioned feline food.  well, i wound up getting an 18 lb. bucket of purina one special care, with some hairball formula.  i couldnt remember the brand i had before today, but i put some out, and ate it til she was full.  almost seems to me that she likes this stuff better.  i hope its not junk food.  she is a pretty mellow cat.  she hangs out on my back porch during the day which is cool cause i never use it.  wanna hear something weird?  she doesnt like fish!!!!!!  what a shockeroo!!!!  i thought that was like crack to cats!! oh well, she certainly likes milk lol.  i hope that food last for awhile.

I don't have a cat, but I know at the pet supply store I go to they only carry good stuff.  No purina there. I beleive its the same for cats as dogs. They tend to just get fat off of lesser quality stuff. Sort of like the junk food for cats or dogs.

My bosses kitty will only eat fish or other meat if it cut up in tiny pieces.  I know he eats tuna. But not big chunks, he can't break it up in his mouth. Wonder if thats the case with your kitty.

Purina cat and dog chow is way different than Purina 1 cat and dog food. Dog chows first ingredient is ground yellow corn (not good for dogs) and in Purina 1 dog food, it's either chicken, lamb or beef.

I've read the ingredients so that's really what they say. Purina one is what we use for our dogs, (adult and senior) and they both like it. W/ pro plan the first ingredient is chicken/some other meat, and I see no difference in it, really.

My cats get Nutro.  I was impressed by in when I had a 8 year old cat, Heidi (still lives with my mom and dad) that seemed to be getting skinnier and skinnier though she was an indoor/outdoor cat.  I realized she was never able to get to the food because the other 2 cats would push her aside.  So I bought the senior Nutro complete care and within about 2 months her coat was gorgeous and she had gained back some of her weight.

How rude someone stole your food
Well Purina One is better than most Purina foods. It is prolly better than what she was getting, so I'm sure it's ok...
