Gimmaw (Mom's mom) died this morning at 4:30am. =( It's kind of a blessing because she's been going downhill for 2 years and I just hope it was peaceful...
I'm sorry to hear that. This was the lady that you were not able to see because of someone in the family?
I worry about my grandmas every day as one is about 90 and one is 95. Unfortunately, you only get a pair of grandmas. I lost my grandfathers many years ago. One died rather suddenly, and the other was in a home, was said to be bad tempered and that he would not recognise family members, so I never went to see him. I kinda wonder if that was a mistake, but I have only fond memories of both of them. I'm not sure that seeing his bad side would have been good for me, but then I don't know if my mom is exagerating when she describes how he was in the home. I think back then I was more sensitive and would not have taken well his changed personality. Now, I would probably just laugh it off.
Kitty - Yes this is the same one I talked about a while back...it was all straightened out but my uncle (the one screwing it up) is in charge of funeral arrangements. This is the 3rd grandparent that's died....My moms dad died June 1st 1985(my mom was a month preg with me, and her sis was 2 ms preg w/ my cousin), my dads mom died Aug 30th 2002 and Gimmaw died today and my last great grand parent died march 23rd 2004...My dad's dad is the last one, and he's 67 but I think he'll be around for long time. :)
Matt's lucky, he has all 4 of his grandparents still w/ him :/
