Hello Strangers.....

I just wanted to say Happy Holidays to everyone. I've been gone for quite awhile. Had some computer problems..and couldn't find this site for the life of me. I finally started doing searches for member names and finallly found it. Anyway...I don't spend much time on the computer anymore. I'm dealing with some herniated disks in my upper shoulder/neck area. I am very limited on how much time I can be here. I barley have enough time to read my emails every couple days before I'm not able to sit here.

I just wanted to Wish you all a Happy New Year!!!
Julie

Hi Julie, So nice to have you here. My MIL had a ruptured disc, had surgery and is way better. Is herniated like a bulge? Thats what I had. After going to the chiropractor, found out I needed an alignment. My right hip joint was off for probably ever since I hurt myself, and I just did not know it.  Boy did it help my back. I hope you can stop in more. Maybe at least every few days. I hope...

I had a hard time finding my way back here, too, so don't feel like it's just you who can't work the computer.    I hope you feel better soon.  It's good to see you back, even if you can only pop in for a second here and there.

I will pop in as I am able to. Herniated disks are bulged disks too, I guess. Mine have been like this for quite a few years on and off. I do go to the chiro, but sometimes he makes it worse. My neurologist says, that the two disks are calcifying or fusing together and are pinching off the nerves, so it is just a matter of time before I have to have surgery. I'll have to save up for that, as we are self-employed and the insurance sucks. Plus they are saying that it is a preexisting condition even tho I haven't been to a Dr. for it for over 7 years. So I have a lot of crap to go through first. I will have to do it for sure when I loose all feeling in my left arm and they said that it would effect my left leg, and then I will have to do something. So hopefully, if I just behave myself and don't lift anything...It will get better again. It is always worse in the cold winter months.

I'll be here on and off.....

I had sciatica nerve problems at first after the chiro, but it relieved the pressure from the muscle that was being pulled from the shift of everything when it first occured. I could barely lift the front of my foot up. I thought I was to be disabled forever. Now its 99 % better. I just need to not lift anything too heavy. How long ago did you hurt it?

It has been like this for about 8 years. I was lifting weights and I guess I lifted wrong ...then the trouble began. The nero said that my spine area where it joins the back is curved the wrong way, so that leaves a weakness in that area. So if I even lift a case of soda wrong...it causes problems. I've been to different Dr's over the years...and they all say the same thing...it is just a matter of time before they rupture..I just have to behave...but that isn't any fun.

anyway...enough of me...how are things with everyone. I'm glad to hear that every thing is figured out with Ansy and her Hubby. I've been trying to catch up...but there are a lot of pages to go through. I'm sorry to hear about TunaChaser...I didn't know him, but from what I hear...he was a great guy...my sympathies to you his friends.....

Take care....
Julie

Everything is smooth sailing here. Lilly had knee surgery a tad over 3 weeks ago, three more to go till she can start having fun again. Rufus and Sasha are missing her rambunctousness.
