I forgot about you being in this area... sorry. Yeah, most of the fires were down around Fort Worth area, I think. I'm not sure why. This weekend is going to be bad with fireworks (which are suppose to banned - yeah right) and the dry ground and the wind! I dread it. Keep safe PD. I know it is going to be a hard one for you. thanks yea I've seen a few feild fires along the high way and alot of already burned stuff. I saw the fire department out today doing controlled fires to try a minimize the fires.
We had a big fire a few weeks ago just north of us. I think it got 10 thousand acres but it was just country...no homes. And then about a little over an hour from us had a big fire...just one home went from it. But so far none right by me to where I was in danger. I know we have a huge burn ban...meaning no fireworks for New Years. If only people wouldn't throw there cigs out there windows we would be okay....
