This is such a good idea! My father actually made some of these for our Boxers that with age had hip problems and couldn't get on and off the beds. Great for little dogs or dogs with hip problems or injuries.
I have had stairs for a few years now for my little pomeranian, Daisy. She has had arthritis in her hips for a few years so bad that she can't get on an off of the bed. It started hurting her even when people would pick her up. We bought her some stairs so that we didn't have to pick her up and hurt her. They're great!

I just recently saw that, too. My first thought was how expensive it was. I think it was 39.99. You could probably make one for less than half of that! But the idea is great!
A friend's hubby made his own version of that for their bischon when she got older and had difficulty getting on their bed. They used left over remnants of their bedroom carpeting to cover it with. Of course not being handy myself, I'd have to spend the money to buy one of those if my 2 couldn't just step onto the bed.
You have big dogs that why you are just now seeing these things. I have had step stools next to my bed for about 5 years now. Got one for the couch before getting Lilly. Small doggie owners seek out things like this.
My dad made some steps like that for Cookie and some large ones for Coach and Bella. My sister's bed is really high and there's no way the pooches could jump up. (On second thought, that could be a good thing.)
He made them out of wood and carpeted them. He could sell them for a lot of money!! I see the foam ones online from 40 on up to 80 or $100!!
