I just thought i'd share what has been going on lately.
As most of you know, i have been homeschooling my son for a couple years now. We recently decided to try a virtual public school that is all online. It is awesome and we know he is learning what he should be. He has a teacher that some assignments get sent to and she sends them back graded. Most of the assignments are online and he has lots of online quizzes so they are sure he is learning. He is doing great and getting A's! We are soooo proud of him and he seems to like it. It is a charter school so harder than regular schools and there is a lot of reading and writing, which he hates, but he seems to be enjoying it fine.
I had posted awhile back that we have a new website for hubby's art work. We are paying for hosting and wondered if it was going to get any traffic. It didn't seem to at first but now it is picking up and just today, we had a lady order 2 pieces. We are so excited. I am glad to see it is working and hopefully it will pick up more.
I had also mentioned a bit ago about hubby's new horse, Thunder. He is doing great and i have been riding him a lot ( he is a little much for hubby right now since he is new at horse back riding). I am also getting back into riding since it had been years so now i can rebuild my confidence to finally get on my horse. Rain is doing great too but we are having a bit of trouble finding her a saddle that will fit. She is short bit very wide and nothing fits her. I will keep searching though. I am having trouble with Thunder and saddleing him. He does fine until you pull up the cinch to tighten the saddle and then he falls asleep and his legs try to buckle. I freaked out and searched to find out why and found out he has equine narqolepsy! (doubt i spelled that right...hehe) I couldn't believe it. We will just have to work around that.
All the other animal kids are great. Nothing new to post on them.
Well, that was my book so i hope it didn't bore you all......lol
Glad to hear things are going well. The virtual classrooom sounds super NEAT-O! I didn't know they had that for elementary children! Good for you for finding that and enrolling him. I did alot of my college online and loved it.
I'm sure your hubby is thrilled to have sold some artwork. He is truly talented......and it must be an amazing feeling to know that something you made.....is what someone else wants to have in their home/business. Thats just awesome! Metal art is so unique......what sparked his interest in it?
That online school does sound cool. I think I will tell my sister about that. Mine have two years to go.
I could not help but laugh when I read your horse wanted to fall asleep. Wow. freaky though.. He does it only when you cinch him up. You sure he's not foolin you. LOL
Sounds like everything is going smooth for you, so nice huh. Sooooo how much was the stuff your hubby sold? Did he do good?
Stormy - I miss being on here and everyone too! I miss chatting.....lol I am trying to be on here more.
Ansy - Hubby has worked in sheetmetal for 10 years and kept seeing all the scrap in the trash bins. He thought "i wonder if i can make something out of all that" so he brought some home and just started messing with it. He had natural talent and the ideas just seem to flow out. He made another one tonight. I redid some of the website so now i can add more pieces and people can click on a shopping cart button and buy items right away through paypal. It's very easy.
Puttin - He sold 2 pieces for $60.00. We didn't make what we wanted out of one of them but it's a 7 foot piece and will cost $115.00 to ship! She is going to pay it though. Most of our pieces sell for 30 to 60 bucks. Not a bad price i think.
