Steelers win due to. . .

BAD Calls!!!
I am SO upset!! That was such a bogus game!! The Steelers do not deserve the win. The calls were so wrong, it was so obvious!
Well, at least the Seahawks can go home knowing they played fair and did their best(although there were some things that could have gone better )
And I hope that those refs go home and watch the tape again and realize that they were WRONG!

GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!!! YOU WILL WIN NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The winners, with that old guy and the golden football seemed quite genuine in their acceptance of the award, afterwards. The MVP with the little kid was cute, he got an SUV to tool around in from Caddilac.
I don't watch the game, I try to catch the commercials, though, they can be real funny.

My boss decided that he would make no money with few customers, and much staff to pay. Arabic restaurants are not where people go to see that sort of thing. Our tv there is small, and the reception is poor. I was able to get only one table, and he sent all of us home.
I worked for an hour and a 1/2, some folks showed up for their shift at 5 and just left immediatly, and not real happy , as we closed at 5, instead of 10...
We closed for the USC game, too.
Weird, we work holidays like Easter, and New Year's, and the 4th of July [closed early that day], but we close for football games. Some folks were darn surprized to find us closed at 5...We usually have live entertainment. I can say I felt as sorry for them as I did for myself...

I thought it was a good game.  I only watched the first half though (got a little tipsy during half time).  I did win 2.50 in bets, which was exciting.  I was betting with a bunch of guys and won 5 of the bets (we only bet .50).  My husband was proud of me too.

It was a sad game for us.  A good friend of mine and DJ's is moving to Germany (air force) for 4-8 years.  He and his wife have 3 kids, one of which is mine and DJ's goddaughter.  They are leaving on Wednesday.  We brought them home with us after Katie's b-day party on Saturday and they slept over.  We're going to miss them a lot.  We'll go over and visit but it just won't be the same so we're all a little bummed over here.

Have to agree with you on that one, Katz.  The refs were definitely Steelers fans. That and Hasselbeck had NO help whatsoever from his receivers doomed them.

I was rooting for the Seahawks despite the fact that they are the reason my beloved Giants were not in Detroit yesterday...

i never really thought that there were "buy offs" in sports like i had heard about. but after yesterdays game i truly believe that it does go on. the refs were something well over the realm of pathetic . obvious in their favoritism. unfairly took a touchdown fron seattle and unfairly gave pittsburgh one that they didnt earn. called so many bogus penalties on seattle it was unreal. we never got that many penalties throughout the whole season ! its sad when even the announcers were wondering what was going on with the refereing. but the seahawks know they were robbed and they know why they didnt win. its sad that even my 17 year old daughter who doesnt watch football, watched the superbowl and commented on all the bogus calls.

My friend was happy...he won money.
In the past he says he has lost only on superbowl bet. He bet little this time, because it never paid him before.

Dusty,
My husband is far from a football fan and we all watched it together(his dad is a huge Seahawks fan) and even HIM who NEVER watches football could tell that it was full of crappy calls.
It is extremely pathetic. Although, I do have to say ONE thing.......that stadium, with as many people in it, were FAR from as loud as the Seahawks Stadium!

You know, I guess after going to the superbowl FIVE times, I guess it is expected to pay off the refs so that you can FINALLY win! Seattle will be back and they will win WITHOUT favortism from the freakin referees. Grrrr!

I actually hate football...but i will watch the superbowl for the food and the company. My little sisters friend was there and she is really into football so she was helping me understand what was going on. I wanted the seahawks to win for 2 reasons 1-I liked there outfits better, and 2-they were the underdogs. Me not understanding football in the least could see some of the bad calls! That one that they called a touchdown because he landed on the line....it was SO obvious that he landed on the ball, then you could see him pull out out from under him and set it over the line!! IT WAS BS! hahahaha, it was a fun game to watch though. Football Ref

I have to admit that I did want the Steelers to win...BUT, only because A) They are in the Broncos division and my family is big into cheering for the team in your division if your team doesn't make it to the SB and B)Because of The Bus (Jerome Bettis), I thought it would be neat for him to retire with a SB win and C) Because those stinkin' Steelers beat the Broncos in the playoffs, so it makes it easier to take when I think that the champs beat us. Makes it more okay then if just some team that wasn't that good beat us, lol. Like, if they beat us and then made it to the SB and lost, I would be angry if that makes sense. I'm weird =P

That touchdown call was bogus though, I agree with that. The ball was under him, it didn't even look like it was even on the line. And him moving it just made it more suspicious.
