but Marley finally seems to have turned the corner and gotten some of her energy back. She was up a lot in the night (or maybe I was just awake at every little movement and whimper), and needed pain meds at 4am. Today she's eating really, really well, although she slept most of the day and was a little reluctant to do any stairs. I went out for just a little while late this afternoon, and came home to her standing up in her crate, tail wagging, and eyes bright and clear! She did the stairs on her own to go out to potty, cuddled with the kids and I, played a little bit with Kula, and sat out on the deck enjoying the beautiful weather. Now she's crashed out again...either her pain meds kicked in, or she just used up every bit of oomph that she had
I have her belly wrapped in an ace bandage, so I think that's giving some support to the incision and helping some with the pain. The vet called to check up on her and was happy to hear how well she's doing. I'm just so glad that she finally seems to be getting back to herself. It's horrible to see your baby miserable!
