German Shepherd Breeders

My landlord is looking for a purebred German Shepherd puppy. He asked me to help him find a good breeder. Im wondering is anyone here happens to know of a good breeder in Southern California, or if someone can help me find one. I dont even know where to start. So any help would be great. Hopefully someone here knows of a breeder.

Thanks!

I don't know really. I see them in the pennysaver at times. But ya know how that goes, 50-50 chance of finding a good one. You could try I suppose. Ares we have is one older shepard right now in rescue, about 8. I Know a gal on another forum that breeds them, is he willing to ship?

Thanks everyone.

Puttin...i dont think he would be willing to ship but i will ask him today. I did find some puppies in local ads. I gave him the numbers to the ads that said the mother and father were tested and i told my landlord to make sure that wherever he gets his puppy from, that the breeders have done the proper health tests. I also told him to ask to see the parents and not to buy the first puppy he sees, but to see a few differnt puppies and then decide which one would be best for him.

So well see what happens, he doesnt want a young puppy cause of the potty training issues, i dont think he wants to have to take a pup outside every 20-30 minutes, so he wants a 4-5 month old who could hold it in a little longer. But i did tell him that any puppy he gets will need to be housetrained and just cause he gets an older one doesnt mean there will not be any accidents.
I dont think he knows much about dogs though i know he has had dogs in the past. I told him if he needs any training help or has any questions to call me anytime. Hopefuly I can help.

Agian thanks everyone.

Thats who I was thinking of Huron. I know she had a litter about 5 months ago. I think she was holding onto a few of the litter to see if they were either showable or breedable.  Something like that. She has nice ones too. Shipping is not as scarey as it sounds.

Check out Watchers links too. Thanks Watcher. Nice to see you..
