To make a long story short, I'll give you a rundown on her mother. She is physically and emotionally abusive to her husband, Derrick, who is Matt's cousin. As far as I know, she isn't with Sarah but that remains to be seen. Well, two weeks ago, she got mad at him for going out with Matt and Matt's uncle tom for an hour 1/2....she never lets him do anything...and after he got back, she left for 6 hours w/ her friend Erica. She finally came home and saw Derrick eating Wendys or something and went off about him being gone for an hour 1/2 and threw his food against the wall, spilling his drink on the floor....and started kicking him in his toodles(ha) and smacking and punching him in his only kidney....so he of course fought back and went crazy on her....She called the cops and got a restraining order on him for him not to see her or Sarah...and Derricks mom went to court yesterday and Christa, Sarah and Christa mom were there to drop the stupid restraining order and Melanie went to pick Sarah up and play with her and christas mom walked away w/ Sarah and Sarah was reaching for Melanie the whole time....I hate the way Sarah's being used...and I hate Christa and her mom...seriously, they need to fall off the face of the earth, no one would care. All of this drama is Christa's fault, not Derrick or anyone elses.
It'll be another 2 weeks before Derrick can see her. That'll be a whole month....and Matt and I will see her in 2 weeks. She's almost 14 months old and Derrick's missing out because of his idiotic wife. He did file for divorce already, thank God....it'll be over soon and we can finally get rid of Christa.
Aww...i'm sorry to hear all that is going on. I hope it gets better for everyone. Unfortunately, you all will still be stuck with Christa since she is Sarah's mother but not as much. I knew a girl that was abusive to her husband too. Just shows it can go both ways
Aww, bless her little heart. So sad how the innocent ones are hurt by such behavior from adults. Best of luck for the little one. I hope that something can be arranged so that everyone can eventually be civil because she does need to know that both mom and dad love her and to see them both.
I couldn't begin to tell you all of the hings she's said to him, the lies, everything she says is a lie, how many times she's hit Derrick, etc.
I don't care that he's hit her, she starts it, and he has the right to defend himself. She's a crazy b*tch.
As far as I know, she isn't doing drugs but that remains to be seen. You should see how her mom is, and that's why Christa is the way she is. I'll only see her every now and then, and I'll be seeing Sarah through Derrick, and I love Derrick so that's fine by me.
Man...that makes me scared for that little girl :( Matt's cousin should invest in a tape recorder so that he can tape her 'episodes'. That way, if she threatens to take the baby away again he will have proof that she is causing problems and has anger issues. Ya'll should also talk to him about just leaving when she gets that way. I mean, I know he's defending himself, but their daughter doesn't need to see that kind of behavior. Seeing her folks beat up on each other will do a number to her down the road. Next time she does it, he should just take the baby and walk out with confronting her, saying something like, "I'll come back when you calm down" Then he will be the bigger person in the situation.

Well, Christa's already moved back home (an hour away) and Derrick went back home to live with his mom and brother. Sarah's with Christa and her mom, God help her, they're both loons. Sarah's seen her sharing of fighting and has cried everytime and I'm glad they're split. He's already filed for divorce, he can do way better. He has a court date in 2 weeks and Christa's going to drop this restraining order she got on him (all because she was beating him, and he fought back) What a freaking moron! I've never met someone that is so stupid. And she thinks she can go to medical school....she can't even handle a marriage.
If they're filing for divorce, is Derrick going to try to get custody, or shared custody of Sarah? I hope that wacko doesn't keep that little girl from her daddy :(

Well, he has talked to a lawyer, and he's actually trying to decide to file alone or get this lawyer. He hasn't lost a casesince 1999 so, he's pretty sneaky, which is what Derrick needs. Christa wants to settle out of court (because she doesn't have the money for an attorney and Derrick does) I have a feeling if he files alone, he'll just get visitation, and w/ the lawyer, I think he could get full or at least joint. She's so fat and stupid. Ugh
If other people have seen her act like this then he needs to get statments from these people to bring to court. The judge may ask these people to come to court. It sounds like the baby is better off with him then her, sounds like it runs in her family! The quicker she gets out of that house the better off she is. If he doesn't get full coustdy then he needs to try for 4 days with mom 4 days with dad, the judge will make a meeting place in the middle for them to meet.
