I know you said for Christmas you were lowering the prices on some of the dogs at the local shelter. Have you heard anything on the on Chow mix that you were going to adopt? Has she found a home?
Now that hubby and I are in a house with a yard we are looking at getting our big dog. I was curious if she was still on petfinder (couldn't remember her name or anything) and if there was a way for me to possibly get information on her (such as good with female dogs, cats, etc...) Course I live in MD, so dont even know if a long distance adoption would even be possible (or if my husband would go for it)
The chow mix has found a home! I know that the shelter is okay with some long distance adoptions but I am not sure about that far, unless you were to come and pick up the dog itself, or pay for shipping, etc. Then they sometimes will consider it, depending on the dog.
What kind of dog are you looking for? I can try to help you find one if you'd like. If you are looking for a chow/chow mix, I can also see if there are any rescues closer then the other side of the country! LOL Let me know!!
I would prefer a chow mix. Not 100 % as to when we're planning on doing this. I'm kinda just keeping my eye out. My father told me that all of his dogs just kinda found them (aside from the pug they have now) With Pi & Lola since we were looking for a specific breed, we had to really search. With this one, I'm just keeping my eye out for a chow or chow mix and seeing if one seems to fit with out crew. It's going to be a challenge I know as we dont have kids yet (but plan on starting a family in about 2-3 years) and we already have 2 dogs and 2 cats. Guess we gotta find one friendly with everything heh heh heh.
Speakin of my dogs....I think Pi has found something in oe of our bathrooms dunno if she's just barking at the laundry basket or if a friendly bug has caught her eye....better go check it out lol.
Kitty!!! LMAO! No, a chow would not eat the little dogs.....as long as she gets either a puppy, or one that has been around little dogs(or at minimum, she needs to test ANY dog she gets with her dogs BEFORE she buys it!)
Katz, have no fear, I will not under any circumstance put any dog with mine without testing them in controlled situations and supervised visits prior to bringing them home.
