Napster has become a little "star"

We finally "officially" launched JT's website a few weeks ago and have the story of how we got Napster and all on there, since its named "Nappy Cat Music".


People have read about her being shot and it has been CRAZY with emails on the website and on MySpace from people wishing her well.  We never expected this because we reach out to a music community, not a pet community....but evidently, lots of music lovers are pet lovers too!...lol


In the past week we've got more emails for her than about publishing and selling music...lol.


It's just weird, but nice at the same time.  Her story has touched so many people!  I told JT that this is an excellent opportunity to educate more people about the importance of spay/neutering and such.  He wants to incorporate some animal education into the website at Nappy Cat too - maybe putting up links and stuff.


When I get the new Furum site up, I will link it from his site and maybe we can get some new members and make new friends all at the same time!


His site, if you want to see it is at www.nappycatmusic.com There is a Flash intro with music, so you may want to turn your speakers down...lol (no, it's not music he wrote).  He also had me place a forum there for musicians, but it was just put on yesterday so its empty.

The site looks great, Ansy! Gonna send a friend request to Nappy cat music on myspace in order to try and help with the networking.. the more people that see it, the better, I'm sure. Also, I read every page of his site, and under 'about us' there's a typo in this sentence:He attendted Nashville State College with a major in Music Technology and did an internship with a publicist in 2000.


I know that's incredibly lame of me to point out, but it looks so great, and professional, that that one word really stood out! Thought I'd pass it along.  I'm positive no one would care, most wont even notice, but eh, I figured it can't hurt to letcha know. ( I dont know why this sentence is red..)


Sooo glad to hear all is going well with Nap..that picture of the bullet hole itself is just heart breaking..

Dook.....Don't apologize!!!...lol.  If anyone finds a typo...PLEASE let me know...lol.  I've read and typed until I'm blue in the face and I don't catch them all.  Thanks for taking the time to read through everything and finding that! 


I never DREAMED life could be this busy.  We've been getting submissions out the ying-yang.  We are also in a *hopeful* deal which I can't give out any details on (because of this persons current contractual obligations) except that they recently appeared on a popular TV reality show where they sang for several weeks before being voted off.  Let's just say that we are "Lucky".....(sorry, can't really discuss this but its so exciting).


Everyone says "oh the name....we love the name....it's catchy"....(Nappy Cat Music).  It's freaking crazy!  We havent scored any big $$$ yet, we're pretty much working for free to get the name out there and get things off the ground, but we are SO pleased with the initial response.


I just know....that in the next few years......this little idea of The Furum is going to be taking a much different meaning. 


It's like my whole life's path has changed.  I always wanted to work with animals and couldn't go to vet school.....so I went to school for something else and in the process inspired JT to go to school.  He's now learned the technical side of music where he can do more than just play it.  So he opens NCM and not only is it an opportunity for him, but it's becoming an opportunity for me as well.....in the field that I've always wanted to work in - animals.


My degree is a Major in Psychology with a Minor in Nursing (which I never persued).  I haven't got a clue how all of that plays into this....and I may never know......except that me being in school for *something* is what inspired JT to get to where we are.


Both of our dreams are finally coming true.  His music, my animals.  I feel so fortunate and blessed right now.  We've went through a lot this year, but it's all coming together now.  Finally.


I swear, if we ever get rich from his music, I'm sharing the wealth.  All of you who have stuck by me here and listened to me whine and complain......I'm sending all your pets gold and diamond collars or something...lol.


Anyway, sorry for the rant.  I don't get to log in much anymore and just kind of get side tracked when I start typing...lol.


Back to work......got 8 more days to get The Furum ready!

Dook, I went to find the typo and am stumped.  Was you referring to the word "publicist" thinking I meant "publisher"?


A publicist is another job in the music industry which publishers are often confused with.  He did work with a publicist, but ended up as a publisher...


My brain is fried.....if its something else then point it out to me...lol.  Words are jumbeling together for me at this point.

Glad things are finally coming together for both you & JT!  It's wonderful & about time!  Couldn't be happening to two nicer people.


Oh, and the typo is "attendted" should read "attended".  I can always catch someone else's quicker than my own.

OMG Denise!!!  Do you know how many times I read that sentence and couldn't find the typo???  I read it here and on the website...lol.


Am I a loon or WHAT?  It was clear as day right in front of my face and I still didn't catch it.....


My brain operates at about 10MPH and my mind likes to travel 50MPH.....thats what causes those frequent blonde moments...lol
