An online friend of mine from Dogster went and rescued a mini poo from a shelter up north around Bakersfield. Well she tried a trial home, and called all the people that said go get him, maybe we can take him, and it was a wash. She has a poodle, a boston terrier, and a boxer-boston. Her boston, is going blind and was not at all comfy with sweet teddy being there. She had to guard him, Soooooooooo, I told her bring him to me. We have adoption days every saturday, and will put him up on all of our sites. 5 of them. We had a few bites (people looking at him, not doggie bites, LOL) this past weekend. I had written this on another forum (Poodle)
The home that Teddy went to just did not work out. The couple was looking after the older mom, and I guess Teddy was not fitting in, or they just did not have time to transition him, This picture was taken about a week ago, with my Johnny, The gals poo that rescued Teddy. Basically looks the same now, but hair may be a teenie bit longer, has ointment in his ears, so its making him have the greasie ear hair right now. I actually found a fox tail in his ear. Very hard to see. but was there. Could have gotten it at the trial home. My dogs thus far since last night have acted just like I thought they would. Good dogs. Rufus wants to play, Lilly too, but wants to get to know him a bit more. Sasha just wanted to sniff, then leave him be, he sniffed her bum and she sat down. No snarl. LOL So I had him at the Palos Verdes street fair all day yesterday with the rest of our gang, He was a bit scared and did not make a peep. Got along with all the other dogs that walked past him. Sweet gentle boy. He does not have the best looking teeth overshot jaw and a couple small teeth missing. Age is posible 7 ish range. I do wonder though, his body seems at least 7 or younger, just badly set up mouth. Our rescue was wondering if he was older. I think he just needs some TLC to get him back on route.
I think he may grind his teeth too. One of our gals, was holding him and while he slept, she said he may have something something, basically the name for teeth grinding. I told her, well his back teeth do look like he does. Sooo, he grind his teeth. Oh well. But he is very sweet.
Before,
He has those funny teeth that stick out, but the whole face is just a cute little thing
This is after about two weeks ago,
About one week ago
He has been neutered, and has been recouperating from ear infections. Possible fox tail troubles who knows.
I will take more pictures. He has greasy ears right now from ointment. After a could weeks, months he will be adorable. He won't have that uncared for look to him. Boy is he a tail wagger. Especially in the kitchen. LOL
It's great that Teddy is doing well with your crew. He looks so much better in the last picture than he does in the first one. Love and grooming can do wonders for a dog. I wish you the best of luck finding a home in which this little guy can shine. Please keep us updated on his progress, and of course, continue to post pics.

Look at that smile in the first pic! And actually, in the second to the last pic, I can see the funny bite thing, and I gotta say it's kind of endearing, probably even more so given his happy personality. Good for you taking him in. I bet he won't be too hard to find a good family for.
Let him recover from his surgeries at your place. Poor little guy looks thrashed. He should be spiffy after a few months of good, even tempered treatment at your place. Start taking interviews for him. When I began placing pups for sale, I took 75 inquiries for the 4 couples that I let come over, that all bought the dog they wanted...
