Frontline or Advantage?

Im just curious what everyone uses for flea/tick prevention. I have always used Frontline with no problems untill recently. I have found a tick on Bear and I think someone has fleas. I just gave them a dose last week. Imk thinking of switching to Advantage, but i have never used it before. I'd like to hear other peoples experiance with these two and which you guys think work best.

Thanks!

Not sure which one works the best, but my vet always recommends Frontline. A friend of mine uses Frontline, too. Do not know of anyone that uses Advantage.

We use the K9advantix...my dogs have never had a flea, tick, or misquito on them.

We have a big problem in my area with fleas & ticks.  I use Frontline and have been very pleased.  We have had no problems with fleas.  They will occasionally pick up a tick but none have embedded in them and they fall off and I have on rare occasion found one on the carpet.

I do the yard with a hose attached bug poison sprayer, either from home depot, or the Zodiac brand. Then I do the house, top to bottom, with Zodiac or Vet-Kem Premise Spray, then I do the critter with Zodiac pet spray with IGR[precor]. This is the complete way to break a flea's life cycle.

Well we went hiking today, I applied the frontline plus on the 5th of this month. And Syd is covered in ticks. I bet the other two have them as well but they have long hair and its really hard to see. Im going to have to take them into work tomorow for baths.Im so grossed out, I hate ticks they creep me out. The ticks are weird looking too with a yellowish/white spot on the back?

This means no dogs in the bedroom tonight :(

Jeez, no.
I would be freaked, too.
Ticks are like teeny rattlesnakes.
I hope you work it out.

That's the favorite song in my house at the moment.

Zoe, I love that commercial! It's so cute! But, I hear it all day long at work (as you may know, I work at my vet clinic) so it may get old fast. I catch myself and the others whistling, singing or humming the tunes of those commercials. ha....We play that commercial and we don't even sell Advantix.

There ain't no bugs on me, and my blood is free of cancer... is how the song sounds in my house.
