I wanted everyone here to know, for those of you that know kind of what is going on, and for the others that visit "other" forums and DO know(or think you do) I wanted to share this with all of you....................
Harley has found a HOME!!! A FUREVER HOME!!!!!! I have e-mailed over 50 people and have had many rescues all helping to place him, today, we got a call from Chow Rescue of Oregon and Harley will be going to his new home this coming weekend!!! We are going to drive him down there and the only adoption fee that the new owners will have to pay is his surgery for his eyes(WAY less there then my vet) Actually, it is less then their normal adoption fee! They were thoroughly checked out by Chow Rescue, they will legally be adopted through chow rescue, they will sign a contract and Harley will be returned to them(or me) if something happens. The head lady, Luanne, told me these are stellar people and she said that she wished that all the people that wanted a chow were like them. She said she could not have picked a better family if she tried! They are in love with him and they have not even met him yet! I talked to the wife on the phone today and she was very nice and they are very excited about him. I have talked to the lady and told her that although I cannot do foster care(Chi-Ching is proving to just get too jealous) I will help her in anyway possible. She has ALOT of chows in need. We are going to continue to help by e-mailing people looking for a dog, as well as be a transport for any dogs that need to go down there, or from there to their new home(or foster home)
Thank you to all who understood what I was doing and why.
I'm glad Harley has a forever home. Given Ching's issues with other dogs in the house, transport sounds like a great way to help out. Lots of groups need help with transport, and Ching won't have to have any of the dogs in his living room.
